The island wasn't exactly on any of the maps anymore, even if it was exactly where the old lady said it would be. As if to animate this point, Deadpool concentrated on a map he held before him, the wind flapping it furiously. On the map was the ocean before him, but there was a big red circle that read: “No island here” - but when he lowered the map, his eyes focused on the island that was rapidly approaching them in the distance.
“Huh.” He said, folding up the map and looking at the other two. Mercy and William were with Wade in the rubber, powered raft as it deftly sped it's way over the ocean. “Doesn't look like Rick Steve's has ever cartographied his way out here... though the old maps show the island. I wonder if that's a good sign, or bad.”
It didn't take them long to reach a small dock on the side of the island, apparently made for receiving cargo and supplies. It was an easy guess to assume whoever lived here likely didn't leave very often, and probably wanted to keep it's location a secret.
Deadpool was glad he brought the arsenal.
As he beached the craft, he opened up the footlocker with an impressive assortment of assault rifles and explosives in it. He started strapping the high-tech gear to various parts of his person, and included two ninja-to swords that crisscrossed on his back.
“We ready to get this show on the road or what? I hope it's the Island or Dr. Moreau, or maybe even Fantasy Island... De Plane, boss! De Plane! Though more than likely it's run by an evil overlord, or houses some sort of terrorists or drug lords or something. So we should be extra careful, eh?”

Mercy had set at the front of the raft during their journey, resting her head on her arms on the side of the raft and feeling the water spray her face. When the wind tangled her hair too much, she lifted a hand and tried to fix it, but it didn't remain fixed for very long. When the island came into view, she started to get a nervous feeling in the bottom of her stomach. What if her powers didn't work? She'd just be a liability to Deadpool and William, one more thing they had to protect when they should be looking for Deadpool's swords.
...Or fighting evil overlords or terrorists or something. Mercy had never considered that.
She turned, looking up at Wade as he strapped all sorts of weapons to himself. "Can I get one of those? A gun, maybe?"

[ooc I'd suggest a pause, the alarms will be going off any second. If we can pauge this thread, we can get some dialogue banged out on the Dharma thread enough to have them react. Unless you're on the opposite side of the island or something? Am I missing anything?]

"Whoa!" Deadpool said, looking around at the sky. "Did you hear that?"
William went to say something, but Wade held up his hand, shooshing him.
"No..." He looked between Mercy and William. "I need you guys to be very quiet, and sit still... we just need to wait a little bit."

Deadpool looked over his shoulder as a plane was landing on the other side of the island. The masters must have returned, which didn't bode well on this particular visit. He glanced back at Mercy, and shrugged.
“Why do you want a gun? I thought you'd do this mercenary thing as long as you didn't have to kill people? Turns out the NRA was lying the whole time... guns really do kill people.”

Mercy watched the plane until it disappeared from sight as it landed. The knowledge that there were definently people there - and not just African tribal people, but people with planes. So probably guns as well. She turned to face Deadpool, turning her back on the island. "I don't want to kill anybody. But I don't wanna get shot up by some freakin' mobsters or drug overlords," she said, glancing back at the island as they approached it.
"You know, just in case my...Senses...don't work or somethin'."

"Okay, but here's the deal." He pulled off the bottom panel of the footlocker, and it revealed four pistols that resembled his own in snug little compartments. "If you get a gun, you can't shoot it. Not unless you're absolutely sure that you're going to die... because if you draw it, you WILL be shot at. You want to rely on your wits first, your senses second, and violence- or even the threat of violence - last, okay?"
He pulled out the pistols, loading one at a time, and dug around in his dufflebag for a shoulder holster.
"I'm going to give you all four. If things go really bad, tell your senses that either they help you or you'll die. If they get to the point of no return, you get one gun and give three of your senses the other guns. Oh, and don't give one to the one without eyes."
He stood up, looking back at Mercy and William. Damn it was much more difficult to do this with other people in tow.
Pulling out a pair of high-tech binoculars he scanned the treeline... after a moment, he paused, and sighed.
"Shit. This place is coated in cameras. Even if I came alone, at night, I'd probably only have a 50/50 chance of making it onto the island in one piece." He looked at the other two. "We'll just have to walk in. They'll shoot me first, so if I go down, Mercy, you get your senses to hide yourself and William with an illusion - make it look like the forest or something. Just stay put until I get back up. If I get drug off somewhere, stay put until I give you a signal... be that a comm call," - he tapped the small radios he'd given them all - "Or an explosion or something. Got it?"

God. He really thought that they were going to be attacked.
"But...If they shoot you and then drag you off..." Mercy shook her head; there were a thousand possibilities, none of which she wanted to think about. "How are you going to get out?"
A forest? She'd never seen her Senses do anything that wasn't what would terrify other people. She supposed that forests could be terrifying to someone, though. She took the guns, one after another, and unbuttoned the long, knee-length black coat that she'd worn - one, to battle the cold, and two, because she didn't have any kind of a uniform or costume, and she felt too casual next to Deadpool in his red-and-black spandex get-up. Black boots showed beneath the hem of the trenchcoat, knee-length boots, which had many straps across them with big silver buckles.
She slid the guns into deep pockets in her coat, and turned the last one over in her hands. She didn't even know if her Senses knew how to use guns, and if they'd come out at all, then they'd probably rather use their illusions than anything else. Besides, she didn't want William to be weapon-less. Though she wouldn't have been surprised if William was secretly some kind of kung-fu master. She wanted to hand the gun to him, but she found that she couldn't. It was like her hands wouldn't move in that direction. So finally, she slid it into a pocket on the inside of her coat as well, and pulled her jacket closed around her.

Wade grinned through his mask, and shrugged. “Don't worry, I always get out. The problem will be what you guys do then. How about you stay put for a while, and if nothing happens – ie, they find a way to destroy me or imprison me – you head back to town. It will be our meeting place in the long run, should we completely lose one another. The town back on the mainland we took off from. That same shoddy inn.”
He helped her fasten on the shoulder holsters, and continued.
“Don't worry about me, though, I've been in muuuuch worse scenarios. Hell, I've been in worse scenarios in the last couple of weeks.”

Mercy wondered momentarily if Wade was referring to the torture her Senses had put him through, and she looked down for a moment. She didn't say anything though; she was more than happy to let bygones be bygones in that case.
"Okay," she said with a nod as she lifted her head again. She turned to William and nodded once. "You ready to do this thing, Will Dawg?" She managed to smile, and even giggled. She was trying to keep herself calm, after all. She really didn't want Deadpool to regret taking her along.

William shook his head, the bored/annoyed expression replaced now by a regretful one. “As ready as I can be, Mz Burke. I have yet to understand fully how I continue to allow myself to be drug along on these ridiculous situations... but... here I am. So let's go.”
He cast a look at Deadpool, a pointed one full of accusations, but the mercenary didn't even seem to notice.
“Right you are, Will my man!” He said cheerfully, and hopped off of the raft and started up the path to the central island. “Man this place is amazing. Wonder how much an island like this would set you back as a warlord?
As he strolled, he wondered how long it'd take to set off the proximity alarms.
"You guys stay behind me... say about forty feet. Try to stay within the treeline. There's a possibilty they'll only spot me."

Mercy did as she was told, moving toward the treeline as though her feet were leading her. "Be careful," she hissed to Deadpool as they parted. She made sure to stay close to William, and she made sure to keep Deadpool in her line of sight. She tried to be as quiet as possible after that, avoiding sticks that could snap underfoot and leaves that could crunch.

Deadpool was moving at half pace, though keeping it looking like he was just strolling about. Occasionally he'd stop and observe the landscape like a fool, though really he was just not looking forward to setting off whatever alarm system would no doubt go off.
He'd rather whoever was behind the hidden cameras make the first move without the entire complex getting spooked.
As he heard the low thudding in the earth, footsteps of some great beast clomping toward him, he said into his earpiece headset: "Okay Mercy, William, stay hidden. Mercy, throw up some illusions to cover your asses. I hear one of them coming. Or it's a T-Rex, I can't tell. It's fucking huge whatever it is..."
Deadpool stood at parade rest, blocking the path and awaiting whatever would appear out from around the bend.

The alarm still hadn't sounded when the Juggernaut stomped out of the complex and down toward the beach. So far, so good. Either the intruder was being very, very careful or was sensibly waiting to be approached. Perhaps.
There was a first time for everything after all.
He wondered if the newcomer was acquainted with someone in the Brotherhood for them to land on Genosha so brazenly. If they hadn't been invited by Pyro there would surely be hell to pay.
He turned a corner in the path and spotted the red and black clad stranger coming the other way.
"Oi!" He said, coming to a halt, "who the fuck are you an what do you want?"

"Okay Mercy, William, stay hidden. Mercy, throw up some illusions to cover your asses.
Mercy felt the inexplicable sensation she received when her Senses divided from her. She saw them each when she turned her head; they never appeared in view of anyone, at least thus far they hadn't. They just always seemed to be there the moment you looked away and back again. She could see them, but she was unsure if William could. She sensed that she and William were now, though they had already been mostly hidden in the trees, encased in the trunks of two large trees - at least it would seem to anyone looking in their direction.
Such as the huge, metal-wearing guy barrelling down the path, with a physique that would make the strongest of champion wrestlers pee themselves shamelessly. Especially with that pissed-off look on his face.
Mercy stood with baited breath, praying that her Senses wouldn't attack the human steamroller. Deadpool might be able to talk to him - and whoever else was on the island - and they might just be somewhat friendly. Though 'friendly' wasn't exactly the first adjective to come to mind as the beastly man yelled out to Deadpool.
But the Senses were silent and unmoving, gazing balefully through the trees at the two men. They had no need to hide; no one ever saw them while they were creating illusions, unless the Senses wanted them to.

"Holy carp!" Deadpool exclaimed, looking at the moving mountain of a man. "We'll start with a fresh pair of underwear."
He quickly scanned his memory for where he knew this behemoth. His first thought was that he was one of those big guys from Final Fight, but then realized it was highly unlikely that a video game character would be here in real life, much less on this nameless Indian Ocean Island. Then it struck him, this was the notorious mutant criminal - the Juggernaut. That was pretty much shitty news.
"I'm Deadpool. Adventurer. Mercenary. Humanitarian. I'm here looking for some swords."

They're guest, Gill decided, was exceedingly lucky. Staring at the fuzzy display monitor he again noted exactly how close the man had come to triggering the proximity alarm. Gill was pretty sure Cain wouldn't be bothering with conversation right now had that been the case.
The Juggernaut was very sick of the alarm. Particularly since people insisted on triggering it in the dead of night.
He wondered how on earth their visitor had found the island; Genosha had never been a tourist spot, wasn't marked on many maps and wasn't on its way to anywhere.
Either the man in red and black was very, very lost, or here was here deliberately.
Gill was intrigued to see which.
"Swords?" Cain said with a frown, "well they ain't 'ere, fuck off."
Then he turned and started to stomp away again.

“No can do, One Man Gang.” Deadpool said smoothly. “The odds of them being here may be the next to none, but odds 'dey still is.”
If the big man was listening, it wasn't apparent in his manner. Or in the fact that he was just walking away. Deadpool turned to the “camera” with a shrug, and took a step forward.
“I think I'm going to have to insist on the four dollar tour, bu -” Then the proximity alarm chirped on, triggered by the motion tracker that his foot had broken. DP looked up at the Juggernaut and gulped cartoonily.
“Oops!” He said.

Gill winced as the shriek of the klaxons sounded twice before he managed the thumb the deactivation switch. The system chuntered through its reactivation program and went silent, but the damage was already done. Cain had made it abundantly clear the last time the alarm went off that he had just about had enough.
This was not going to end well.
The Juggernaut turned with a scowl of extreme annoyance, "I said," he rumbled with deliberate emphasis, "FUCK, OFF!"
Then he punched the stranger in the face.
The impact would have smashed a normal human skull into little more than shards and scraps of flesh. Deadpool however was very, very far from a normal human being. It certainly felt like the skull crumpled under the blow but his head flipped back so that it rested between his shoulders.
Cain blinked and then delivered a hammer blow that smashed the tottering body to the ground where it twitched a couple of times before laying still.
Somewhere in the jungle a bird cuckawed.
It was then that he realised Pyro might have wanted to meet their unexpected guest. Well, he thought to himself glancing around, no reason why he still couldn't.
And if he knew who this 'Deadpool' was then so much the better. It was an object lesson that he should fill his friends in better before inviting them to Genosha.
He scooped the somewhat mangled red and black body from the ground and tucked it under one arm before striding off back toward the base.

William frowned as he watched the powerful (VERY powerful, judging by his mutant scale - he was pushing the upper level four region) demolish the poor naive Deadpool.
"Oh goodness gracious. That man will be the death of me." William muttered, and looked over at Mercy. Catching the look on her face, he gave her a warm smile. "Oh don't you worry, my dear, it would take a thousand of those punches to take Wade out for good."
He glanced around, measuring the line that Deadpool could somehow sense that started the Proximity Alarms.
"Alright. I know he said for us to stay here... but that was when he thought this was a military island. I think the introduction of the Juggernaut changes things. As long as we don't cross that imaginary line, we should be fine. Keep the illusions up, and we'll just walk along the outskirts, see if we can find someone."
