"Yes, I will be interested to speak with her, although I should probably give her a few days. You're right, most people do take time to adjust. Thank you again for settling her in for now."
She turned to face Kurt as well, smiling inwardly at his paternal words but proudly choosing not to address them. "We had so many new faces this evening! Isn't that unusual."
Ororo stopped for a moment, thinking that she should not lie at being surprised by this fact around someone she trusted. She sighed gently, and slumped just a little bit, letting down her guard to her friend. The night, and her talk with Bobby, was bringing out her stress at the immensity of her new responsibility.
"The world is still unsettled. Alcatraz did not end our issues, only brought them to light. I think we may be getting newcomers in waves, more than before." She looked at Kurt with a tiny hint of worry.

Kurt smiled and fished her keys out of his pocket. "It was nothing, I am happy to help." He held them out to her, listening to the tinkling as they swung on the ring.
His smile faded as he watched her demeanor change, suddenly showing the burdens that he had already known were there. Gott in Himmel, she wasn't ready for this; everyone thought Scott would be in that office. Kurt tried his hardest to stop bending the light around him so more of him than just his eyes could at least be seen; slowly he faded back into view, his face calm and sad.
"Ja, Ororo more will come, and that will mean more for us to do," he said, eyes never leaving her face as he lightly touched her shoulder. "But it means that more mutants see this as the better alternative, and we have a greater chance of making all that we hoped for come true."

She took the keys with a little smile, and put them in her pants pocket. Her hand went to the railing as if for support for a moment. Then she patted the three-fingered hand that he placed on her shoulder, and smiled.
"'We' is the best thing you could say to me, Kurt. Sometimes I feel alone, and forget what a good support system lives with me.
"You are right, of course. Better they crowd our halls than feel abandoned outside."
She straightened up again and moved slightly towards the stairs, her usual pleasant humor restored. "That's enough for one day, don't you think?"

"You are never alone, Ororo. Remember that." He smiled comfortingly and pulled his hand back, leaning against the railing calmly.
Yellow eyes watched her as she straightened, and Kurt chuckled as Ororo the Headmistress returned. "I think it is late, and my rounds might as well be finished. Let the students enjoy a night for once." He grinned impishly and bowed to her as she moved towards the stairs. "Good night, Liebchen." There was a puff of smoke, a bamf! and he was gone.

Ororo gave a tired little laugh at his bow, and descended the stairs to her room, the bamf! echoing lightly behind her.
[OOC: Look! Our first day finished! *tear*]
