"He kissed me." Instantly she blushed. She hadn't wanted to and if it weren't for the gut-wrenching guilt she still felt she wouldn't have. Kissing was not that big a deal.
It had been for Bobby.
Paige cleared her throat. "I um... I kissed him back." She winced, venturing a look at Warren just to gauge his reaction.
"Bobby knows, we talked it over." She sighed.

"If it makes you feel any better, I'd have kissed him back too."
She obviously wasn't happy about what had happened, and he was glad that she'd told Bobby so he wouldn't have to decide between the guy code and the friends code.
"Bobby was pretty... Uh..."
Bobby was the jealous type, from memory. Warren was actually reasonably sure that even these innocent little chats would get the third degree. Looking up, he tried to think of a way to put it that wouldn't sound bad.
"Well, he was... Bobby? About it?"
Kissing was really not a big deal. Kissing was only a big deal if it meant something emotionally or led to more. Bobby wasn't quite the same type of person as Warren was, though. Different backgrounds, different standards.

Paige laughed softly. "Bobby's a lot.. a LOT... more um... possessive than I am. I don't think he's had very many girlfriends."
She shrugged. "Remy kissed me before he knew I was dating Bobby. And I kissed him back, well.. because I wanted to." She smirked. "Bobby being gone just a few weeks after we met really threw me for a loop. But something good came out of it... I know for sure how I feel about him now."
"Bobby doesn't really see it that way, but he will. I hope." She nodded.
Her eyes lingered on him. Did he get what she was saying? Did he understand the meaning beneath her confession?

Well, he wasn't going to break the guy-code by going on about just who Bobby had done before her, but Warren nodded anyway.
"Yeah, he just needs time."
It'd have to feel really bad though, knowing that your partner didn't even trust you on a small matter like an innocent kiss.
Though, his impression of Gambit taken into account, the kiss probably would have been anything but innocent.
"Bobby'll be fine," pausing, Warren looked over at her with a smile to say, "I guess this means you guys are exclusive now, huh?"

Paige looked down. "Yeah... turns out he thought it was a given." Her look of confusion was almost cute. "I'm not sure where he got that idea, but... I think he and I just come from two different places in that regard."
"Like I don't think it's any big deal to flirt and mess around with your friends. I think he'd have a cow if he knew we'd gone out the other day. Unless I was wearing a chastity belt and a mumu." She smiled.
Her hand reached out and touched his arm briefly. "But I think you and I are on the same wavelength, ya know? Neither of us would do anything to hurt him."
"Not anymore, I mean."
There it was again.

"Ah. Yeah, I think you're right."
Sometimes, Bobby was a lot more innocent than he liked to think he was.
"Flirting is just... part of conversation to me? I think you're right about how he'd react to us, though."
Warren looked thoughtful for a moment as he considered it. Two people that thought of it as completely natural - and it therefore came across as completely natural - could probably give out the wrong impression. Especially to someone that didn't understand where they were coming from. If that someone happened to be a student who talked to Bobby...
Well, Paige was right. Neither of them wanted to do anything to hurt him.
"Maybe... You know, we should just try to be aware of how we're behaving. 'Cause you're right, neither of us wants to hurt Bobby, even if it is just his own..." Posessiveness? Not understanding? He waved his hands around vaguely. It was understandable, really, since Paige was a great girl. Still, Bobby was going to have to trust her if he expected the same back.

She laughed.
"Well. Maybe we should just watch it unless we're alone. Cause you know, you DO have to take me out again. I'm dying here."
Straightening her ponytail, she stood up and walked a bit towards the mansion again.
"So you're telling me no one but that one chick you saw the other day is in your life? I'm surprised. We gotta get you someone to love, sugar." She winked.

"Hey, I'm trying to be good." Angel spread his hands in supplication.
"Chicks dig nice guys, right?"
He gave her one of his cheeky grins.
"Besides, I can't limit myself to loving just one!"
That wasn't true. He'd had girlfriends before, and Warren wasn't the kind of guy who would cheat. What he considered cheating didn't always line up with what the girls considered cheating, though.
He shrugged.
"To be honest, I have no idea if Alison wants anything more than a pretty mutant date for her premiere thing. Dinner and a movie isn't exactly... Uh..." Unusual? A declaration of intentions?
"Dunno. Nothing wrong with keeping my options open for now, anyway. You want to set me up, you're welcome to try."

"Oh now -that- is a dangerous game," she said. "Come to think if it, I'm not sure I could find a girl good enough for you, by my standards. One that's not already taken anyway." Her elbow nudged his playfully.
"And you know, you really do cut a pretty picture. You should hire yourself out as an escort to the stars. 'Oh look, there's JLo with that gorgeous slice of heaven, Angel...'" She laughed at her own teasing.

He waggled his eyebrows playfully, grinning at her. If she hadn't been with Bobby, if Bobby wasn't in jail, he probably would have said more, but instead Warren just smiled and murmured, "Well, you'll have to try."
Paige's teasing suggestion made him laugh.
"You know, that's a really good idea. I'm sure my father would be so proud." What was most amusing about it was that he probably would have been, if the girls weren't mutants and there was some way to hide his wings. Couldn't exactly wear overcoats to a-list parties, though, and Warren was long past trying to please his father that way.
It was a shame, really, that his family had felt so strongly about mutation - mainly his, because of what it could have done to their reputation - that his father had been driven to create the cure. So many lives that could have been saved without it - Warren wondered if Jimmy ever had similar thoughts. It was his blood, after all, that had been the key.

"So when can you sneak me into the Danger Room, y'think?" She tugged on the elastic waistband of her lycra jogging shorts as they stepped back into the house.
"I'm all kinds of ready to go. Should likely shower I guess."
It occurred to her he'd be seeing her naked if they did decide to try out the Danger Room, but that was going to be a risk she'd take workign with her mutations at all. People were just going to have to get used to it.
Particularly Bobby.

"Anytime. Doubt I'll have to sneak you, anyway - I'm sure they just forgot to give you all the details."
It really didn't make sense that they'd actively try to keep her from learning how to use her mutation. Seemed to defeat the whole purpose of the school, really.
Surely her brother would want her to learn, too. It was better to be prepared and all that.
"Showering sounds like a good idea. Tell you what, we'll both go shower, I'll get dressed, you... do whatever it is you do and we'll meet back at the stairs."
That she'd probably be getting naked at some point had occurred to him, too. Well, they'd deal with that as it came - they could always take an oversized t-shirt down for when the program finished, or something.
