Alright, it happened in the comics. So why not have it happen here? I'm not going to go into all the details, but I've planned it out thoroughly. Now, I can either have Emma make Iceman realize one new power. Or I can have her really push him to the max--using powers her never dreamed possible.
This would make him pretty incredible while Emma possessed him, but as I've planned it, she would only be possessing him while he fought sentinels. When he'd be fighting an opponent, such as John, he wouldn't be possessed and therefore would have his usual powers. After Emma lets go of him, he'll have no idea how she did that stuff, and he really wont want to try when he sees the damage it does.
So it wouldn't really give him a leg up on the competition, unless you count a couple sentinels. And it'd make for an incredible storyline and awful repurcussions <---however you spell that.
