Aurora had been surprised to find a basketball hoop hanging on a concrete wall outside of the compound during one of her trips outside to stretch her legs. She'd scoured the compound for a basketball, finally asking Gill, who had gotten one immediately.
She'd proceeded to go back to the makeshift court and shoot baskets. When she got tired of that, she began to use her speed to propel her around the court, then push her into the air to slam-dunk the ball through the hoop.

Callisto had wandered the compound, trying to detect all the mutants here. She started outside, and didn't come far until she found someone moving quickly... a speed that matched her own. Callisto saw her as she crossed the grass, seeing the girl playing basketball... all by her lonesome. She smiled to herself, running forward, jumping and catching the ball in mid-arc, slamming it into the basket by herself, then spinning so she caught it as it fell.
Landing on the ground, turning sharply, smiling at the young girl.
"You're fast... just not fast enough..."
Throwing the ball back to her.

Aurora grabbed the ball in barely enough time, saving it from hitting her in the face. She regarded the woman she'd never seen before curiously. "You're the one who rose all the alarms earlier," she commented off-handedly. "Quite an entrance."
Aurora was up for a fun, friendly game of basketball, but the other woman seemed to only want to one-up her. So she didn't take the bait, only lofted the basketball toward the hoop. "I'm Aurora," she said as the ball neared the hoop.

Smiling, placing her hands on her hips and watching as she made the basket.
"Callisto. So... what're you doing in a pit like this?"
Callisto laughed inwardly, wondering how Pyro would feel if he heard her talking about this. You may seem to be in control, little boy, but I want to see what your soldiers really think about their master... Spreading her hands.
"Toss me the ball."

Aurora lowered herself to the ground and took a few steps to get to the ball, which she tossed to Callisto. "Originally, it was the only place I could think of that might give me a place to stay. But...Turns out it's exactly my kind of fight."
"So I heard you pissed off the Juggernaut. And Pyro."

Callisto took the ball, bouncing it a few times, jumping backward and high into the air, tossing the ball at the same time. She made a perfect basket, the ball not even touching the rims. Looking back at Aurora when she landed.
"HORSE. Your shot."
Letting her retrieve the ball.
"And just to let you know, I piss off a lot of people."

"I can imagine." Aurora got the ball and returned to the throwing line, or whatever they called it. "So, you knew The Brotherhood a year back, huh? The glory days?" It was clear that Aurora was relatively new.
She concentrated on her shot, which hit the rim and rolled around it before falling in. Aurora smiled faintly at her success before turning back to Callisto.

"You're supposed to match the shot in HORSE, you hit the rim. Got an H."
Feeling proud of herself as she found another spot, making an easy shot by bouncing it off the back board.
"Glory days? If that's what you call being one of America's Most Wanted Mutants and almost being killed on an island..." Looking at her, throwing the ball. "Been here long?"

She glanced at Callisto, her smile turned to a purse of her lips. But she swallowed her begrudging feelings and caught the ball. As she dribbled in preparation, she answered, "A few weeks. Joined right before Baltimore went down. Which was really fun, actually. Kind of got me hooked. I can't wait to meet up with the X-Hippies again."
She tossed the basketball, managing to get it off the backboard and through the hoop. This merited a wider smile.

Taking the ball, bouncing it a few times, then bouncing it off the ground with such first it sailed into the basket.
"Make it or you get an O..."
Laughing, crossing her arms and looking at her.
"What happened in Baltimore? And how are the X-Men nowadays?"

Aurora watched the shot with disbelief. Callisto had clearly played a lot of basketball. Aurora had only played a handful of times in her entire life; sports weren't big at the nunnery, and Jean-Marie had been too bland to have any hobbies more interesting than crocheting.
But she tried it nonetheless. She made it close the basket, but no cigar. "O", she said heavily, before Callisto could announce it for her and gloat over it.
"We won Baltimore, I'd say. Pyro blew up the warehouse where the cure was stored. Chaos in the streets. I pissed off one of the X-Men pretty bad - The girlie man with the feathers. They're probably worse for wear, wherever they are."

Callisto grabbed the ball and ran forward. With her speed, she actually ran up the pole that connected it to the ground, jumping and flipping over the basket, simply dropping the ball into the net with a satisfying swoosh! She landed, laughed, and threw the ball to Aurora.
"Are we planning any attacks in the near future? I sure could use a fight."
Smiling, wanting to see the extend of Aurora's powers.

Aurora grinned wickedly. That was something she could do. She moved behind the net and ran for the pole. It all happened in a few moments, Aurora keeping herself to a speed at which Callisto would be able to see her, though it would not be much more than a blur. She slowed down right as she flipped in the air, dropping the ball into the net. She then sped up again, appearing the next instant a foot off the ground and gliding gracefully back down to earth.
"So far I haven't heard anything...I'd assume we're going to lay low a little bit. There's nothing really happening that needs attacked right now, I guess. Which is a pity; civilian tossing was really a lot of fun."
Aurora turned to face Callisto once she touched the ground. "I like your powers," she said with a hint of a smile, as the two women's powers were very similar. "And your piercing. Did it hurt?" She asked, eyeing the stud in Callisto's chin.

Callisto watched the trick, feeling that their speed was evenly matched. Regaining the ball, Callisto took a few steps forward and jumped onto Aurora's shoulders, flying through the air and dunking the basket. Aurora was fast, but did she have the same agility? Tossing the ball back to her as she spoke.
"This little thing? Felt like a tiny pin prick. Of course, my healing powers numb the pain." After a while... "So, what do you do. You got anything else going for you besides speed?"
Knowing what she did actually have but wanting her to say it.

"I can give people emotions. Rage, pity, hope. Came in handy when I was bumming my way to Baltimore."
Aurora wondered if she was cheating by the way she went about matching Callisto's shot. She dribbled the ball a few times, then lifted herself off of the ground. In a matter of seconds, she rose until her feet were at the height of Callisto's shoulders, soaring to Callisto and planting her feet on the other's shoulders for a moment before continuing her flight to the hoop, where she sunk the basket.
