[NOTE: I've picked up Colossus because we SERIOUSLY need some X-Men moving. If anybody who comes along and would like to play him, then they're more than welcome...]
Name: Piotr (Peter) Nikolaivitch Rasputin
Codename(s): Colossus
Affiliation: X-Men
Age: 23
Height: 6'6" (7'5" in armoured form)
Weight: 250lbs (500lbs in armoured form)
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Blue
Appearance: Tall is a good word. And well muscled is a good extra couple of words. Peter Rasputin is a good looking, affable young man who is always neat as a pin. He isn't vain, but he does take great pains with his appearance. His hair is cut in a tidy, but stylish shape around his face and he generally wanders around the mansion in a t-shirt, jeans and boots. Which are always similarly immaculate. He keeps himself clean-shaven, although he did once attempt to grow a moustache, but people laughed so hard at him that he shaved it off immediately.
Personality: Peter is one of the nicest young men you could ever wish to meet. He is warm, friendly, kind and loyal and would quite literally put his life on the line for anybody he cares about - and has done on occasion. He is very charismatic and is popular around the institute, particularly with the younger children, many of whom look up to the big man as a sort of big brother figure. Bereft of his beloved baby sister Illyana who is back in Siberia, Peter doesn't mind this at all and even encourages it. He is an exceptionally good artist who can turn his talents from caricatures to landscapes with barely any effort.
Powers and Abilities: Peter has the ability to swtich to an organic, carbon-polymer 'steel' form at will. This gives him enhanced strength, size, speed and endurance whilst redendering him pretty much indestructible. When transformed, he is also capable of surviving without food or air, although he would likely die if forced into an extended period in a vacuum.
Weaknesses: When in non-steel form, Peter is just as vulnerable as anybody else. Also, if he is knocked unconscious, he reverts to flesh form and can be killed when in that state. His other major weakness is his almost child-like naiviety and innocence which makes him trust people just a little bit *too* easily at times.
History: Born on the Ust-Ordynski Collective farm in Lake Baikal, Siberia, Piotr Rasputin first came to the attention of Professor X and Cerebro when he first manifested his powers in order to save his little sister from the path of an oncoming tractor. Professor X travelled to Russia to find the young man who was, at first, reluctant to leave his impoverished family behind. They saw the opportunity for their beloved son, however, and encouraged him to go.
On his arrival at the Institute, it didn't take him long to quickly make friends, but being the dutiful sort of son that he is, he writes home twice a week.
After the attack by Stryker's men on the mansion, Piotr, who adopted the Westernised version of his name to same on the effort of correcting people's pronunciation, was inaugurated into the X-Men properly and swiftly proved to be quite the asset to the team, especially when he and Wolverine developed what has quickly become their signature tag-team move, lovingly christened the 'Fastball Special'.
After the battle at Alcatraz, Peter has taken it upon himself to start taking some of the younger kids in hand and can often be found with them down in the Danger Room helping them to use their powers with greater effectiveness. He's a natural teacher. He can't help it.
Sample post: Am excused from this by Nice Mod.
Screenname(s): See Pyro's bio for details.
