Name: Patricia "Trish" Tilby
Codename(s): N/A
Affiliation: Natural Human
Age: 28
Height: 5'6
Weight: 119 lbs
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Blue
Appearance: Trish is extremely well groomed. She takes very careful care in her appearance, since she is a live reporter, and is always immaculately dressed. She wears her dark hair short, for minimum of fuss, and gets it cut regularly so that it stays neat and easy to style. Trish doesn't have 'down time' - she is concerned about her reputation, so she is constantly keeping herself well groomed. She has regular appointments for her hair and nails, she keeps a well stocked wardrobe full of classic pieces with some of what is currently fashionable, and she has a meticulous skin care and make-up routine that she never ignores. Trish is not the kind of woman who will wake up with panda eyes.
Of average height and slim build, Trish is pleasant looking, but not the kind of woman who would have had a successful career as a model.
Personality: While Trish is pleasant enough, she can be nosy and can irritate people. She does not seem able to relax and think of things in any terms but their potential newsworthiness. She feels that she has a duty to report the whole truth, so people can sometimes feel that she has betrayed their confidence, though she does not see it that way. She is brisk and rarely has time for small talk - unless it is with an interviewee whom she is trying to impress. She is always concerned with public appearances, with her reputation and keeping her job, so she always acts in a way that is fitting to her reputation. Trish is not the kind of woman who has down time - her job is her life, so she is always acting in a manner that is fitting to her position.
Powers and Abilities: Trish is an intelligent and skilled journalist, and has a knack for research. She has no mutant powers.
Weaknesses: All of the weaknesses that come with being a natural human.
History: Patricia Tilby was one of those children who always wanted to be a reporter, running around with her little notebook under people's noses, asking too many questions. In the beginning, it was seen as cute and endearing, but as she grew older, and the questions more probing, people began to find it much more annoying. Throughout her school life, she excelled at english, and she was a frequent contributor to her school newspaper.
After high school, she went on to study journalism, and she began working for a television news program straight after graduation. She started at the bottom, running errands and proofreading, and while there met her first love, Paul Burton. They had a short and very romantic courtship before marrying, though their relationship was plagued with rumours of scheming for promotion - Paul was (and remains) the show's producer. She didn't get any perks as Mrs Burton, though, she still had to work her way up, and eventually she became a field reporter, more often than not being given the mutant stories to cover.
It soon became apparent that she and Paul were not meant to be, though they remained friends and colleagues after their divorce. Trish and her cameraman began to get a reputation for being in the right place at the right time, getting those fantastic shots that other news stations seemed to miss out on, and soon they became the station's main mutant reporting team, being flown around the country to where the big news was breaking whenever possible.
Mainly based in New York, Trish has gained quite a lot of experience reporting on the mutant phemonenon, and she sometimes feels torn between what makes a good story and the entirety of the truth that she has uncovered. Though she is well aware that part of her job is to collect good stories, she often finds herself coming to a loggerheads with Paul over the presentation of the images that she helps collect.
