Appearance: He has blonde hair and blue eyes. His skin complection is white however appears to be slightly tanned due to his mutation which turns it slightly golden. When Using powers to their extreme or out of pure malice his skin will turn black (like a shadow)with a dim golden glow around him.

Elixir is capable of controlling the biological structure of his own and other people's bodies. Theoretically capable of rewriting someone's genetic structure at will. He can produce bio-molecular energy at will to affect organic matter he touches, allowing him to heal physical damage done to his body or the bodies of others, reactivate suppressed mutant abilities, repair cerebral functions, and alter the composition of his own molecules in certain ways. He hasn´t reached his full healing potential yet. Currently he is capable of basic healing, having sucessfully healed broken bones, severe burns and even a mortal stab through the chest. His ability is by close proximity - he tends to touch his targets, but can heal through clothing. Recently, Elixir has displayed the ability to harm as well as heal, such as causing painful boils and welts to appear on the flesh of his enemies.


History: Joshua Foley is an omega-class mutant whose abilities have yet to reach their full potential. Formerly a member of the mutant-hating Reavers, Foley was recruited as a student for the Xavier Institute by teacher Danielle Moonstar. His alienated parents disowned him soon after, leading Moonstar to become his legal guardian.With nowhere else to go, Josh reluctantly went to the X-Mansion, being roomed with Prodigy - a situation that neither of them initially found appealing. Josh sent a letter home which only caused his parents to make their disowning of him formal, handing his legal guardianship to the school (specifically, Moonstar). Initially, Josh became friends with the group who would later become the Hellions squad, particuarly Hellion, but after finding out about Josh's history with the Reavers, they rejected him too, and the New Mutants intervened to save him. After this, he (reluctantly at first) started hanging around with them.


Shortly after this, a depowered Wolfsbane (Rahne Sinclair) visited the mansion. Having only heard about her timid early days, Josh was instantly smitten by the new "wild child" Rahne (much to Laurie's dismay, just as she was plucking up the courage to ask him out). After Rahne was rejected for a teaching post due to immaturity, Josh sneaked out of the X-Mansion at night to a bar where she was playing pool. Over the course of a conversation, he rationalised that her new attitude was a way of letting out instincts she had previously been able to blame on "the wolf." Eventually, as they were returning to the mansion, she realised that she did want "the wolf" back, contrary to her previous declarations. As they kissed, he healed away the effects of the weapon that had depowered her - but she lost control as this happened, slashing him open and howling to the moon. Laurie, looking for Josh, came across this scene and (for the first time) managed to control her power to scare Rahne away. But she couldn't return the favour from before to heal the mortally-wounded Josh (who didn't automatically heal because he needs to do it consciously).


As he was rushed to the mansion's infirmary, Beast (in response to the question of how he reversed Wolfsbane's depowering) revealed the full potential of Josh's power for the first time - he could manipulate all the body's functions on a genetic level. The fact that Josh only healed was simply a result of his inexperience. They put him on an I.V. drip, but with Archangel, the mansion's other healer, not present, there was little hope. Prodigy, however, realised that he could heal himself if only he was awake: and Surge said she could wake him up with a small jolt. Reluctantly, Beast went along with this, disconnecting his drip. Surge woke him up, and Laurie kept him calm long enough to for him to heal his wounds. There was one side-effect though which shocked him - for one reason or another, he had turned his skin and hair to a reflective gold (Dani Moonstar speculated it was because he wanted to be the "golden boy" - and injured as he was, he didn't have full control over this instinct). However, other speculation may be the writers poking fun at his codename, as the Philosopher's Stone, which is required to make the Elixir of Life, is also capable of turning any metal into gold.


Since the mansion's destruction and rebuilding under Cyclops and Emma Frost, the student body has been organised into six-member squads - although for Josh, this simply meant a formalising of the New Mutants group. When Rahne was finally accepted onto the teaching staff after this, she tried to break off her relationship with him (he even went out on a date with Laurie during this period). Despite Josh's argument that there is less than three years of an age gap, Rahne pointed out that she was a teacher now, and she shouldn't be dating a student. This didn't last, however, and they attempted to keep it secret, until Rahne saw him on a date with Laurie, and broke the relationship off for good, feeling it would be healthier for him to date another student. While he was depressed in the immediate aftermath, however, Josh eventually realised that it was for the best and pursued a relationship with Laurie - until Wither, who had seen Rahne and Josh's breakup, announced it in his jealousy to break Josh and Laurie up. He succeeded, and Rahne resigned from her job and left the school as a result.As a result, the rest of the team - bar Surge - ostracised him for some time, with his roommate David (Prodigy) particuarly harsh towards him. In addition, he lost it while dancing with Magma at the school dance after seeing David and Laurie kiss - unbeknownst to him, as a result of Laurie using her powers to make David kiss her with the aim of making Josh jealous - ranting at the two of them before storming out.


Constantly craving the admiration and recognition of his fellow students, Foley, now a member of the Institute's New Mutants squad, is prone to egotistic and inconsiderate actions, which, contrary to his intentions, tend to result in disapproval and resentment. His not yet fully realized healing abilities are a variable which should not be underestimated.

Josh looked on at the line of mutants waiting to receive the cure, his eyes full of hatred for them, like he had for the rest of mutant kind. Like all humans did. He was in a huddle with the rest of the Reavers, led by Donald Pierce, they were all chanting and shouting at the mutants, telling them they were right to become normal and that all mutants needed to be purified.

As some mutants left the lines, drastically changing their minds about becoming normal Josh looked at his left hand changing ever so slightly gold. However he disregarded it as the sun on his hand. Donals Pierce and the rest of the Reavers-minus Josh- took the mutants who had changed their minds, refusing to change to an alley and assaulted them. Josh just looked on in shock and awe as they continued to beat the mutants like clay. Josh was in the shade of the alley and noticed his hand turning gold again he now realised he was one of them. He glared at the Reavers wth pure hatred in his eyes, knowing that if they knew what he was they'd kill him. With that thought in his head his anger was fueled even more an he shouted "Know more Pierce. This ends NOW!" with those words Josh unkowinly infected Donald's right arm with gangrene. Whilst the rest of the Reavers tended to Donald he led the group of mutants away to the morlocks. However he himself did not stay and fled in fear.

Appearance section cannot contain a photo. You need to write out what he looks like, what clothes he wears, if he has any x-men outfits, ect.

We don't have power classes at the game, so no one will know what you mean by Omega Class. Also, expand on his powers a little bit (we'd like to know exactally what he is capable of when you say "other things relating to the living body") and add a weaknesses section. Everyone has a weakness - even Jean Grey and Prof Xavier were able to be killed.

Sample RPs need to be for the character you are applying for, and should be longer than two paragraphs (unless its an amazing two paragraphs that make me want to oprgasm the first time I read them).

And we need the "for your first bio only" section (I realize you put your emails up top, but we need the rest of the section as well)

I was just thinking two days ago we needed a mutant who could do this... like the opposite of Leech.

I's still like to know a little bit more about his appearance - what he wears, that sort of thing.

And I just realized it - we need a personality section for him. If you copy/pasted the form from the joining bio sticky thread it should be on there. (The "for your first bio only" section is on there as well, at the bottom)

And once those are finished I will move on to the history, because alot of what you have is comic-based, and we are movie-based. But we will get into the finer points of that soon

(And yes, its harder to get an OC accepted. Especially as your first character)

It does, in fact, look very similar, so whatever you've based it on has plagiarised it to start with. Nobody is saying that you personally have taken this info directly from the Wiki entry, but I'd suggest that you re-write it in your own words.

Personally, I'm really not happy that not only did you copy at first, then you denied it and Pyro had to prove it in writing before you'd admit. Come on, that's not cool.
