Name: Warren Kenneth Worthington III
Codename(s): Angel
Affiliation: X-Men
Age: 22
Height: 6'
Weight: 150 lbs
Hair Colour: Light Blonde
Eye Colour: Blue
Appearance: Warren is a beautiful man. Simple. He has blue eyes, blonde hair, a typical bimbo, but he really isn't. As his angelic looks make him appear, his wings only add to the irony, and effect. Framed by their pure whiteness, he could easily be taken for some angelic host descending from heaven. His chiselled facial features give him an edge and yet the softness of his eyes make his character clear. His hair naturally curls slightly, and he has to fight to get it straight for 'special' events. He knows he is good looking, and flaunts it.
When safe with his friends, Warrem tends to go shirtless, as it's kind of annoying finding decent shirts with holes for his wings. Yep... doesn't often happen... He always dresses fashionably though, never choosing something that is just expensive or just 'pretty'. Suits are his preference when something important is supposedly happening, but most of the time he likes to wear jeans and t-shirts, and a jacket. If he is needed, he also has a harness to hide his wings from view, usually paired with a trenchcoat.
Personality: As a child, Warren was quite easy going and happy-go-lucky. After the death of his mother and isolation from his father, he began to be more quiet and withdrawn. This increased further when his mutation began to appear more obviously in the form of his wings. After his continued efforts of keeping them shorn and his father's discovery of them, he gave in to depression. He almost lost hope completely, but when he managed to save others at school, he brightened, and began to try and live again. His father's disapproval of his mutation made it hard for Warren to get over it, and he learnt to put a brave face on and disguise his ever-growing desire to learn to use his wings, and keep them always. The cure made this more difficult and when it came to it, Warren snapped, flying away. Since arriving at the X-Mansion, his confidence has rocketed positively and just being there for a few hours gave him confidence to save his fathers life. After this, his mutation could not be denied or described as a flaw. Warren felt justified in caring more and being jubilant about his powers. Although back to his child-like state of euphoria, most of the time, Warren still has issues with deep trust and can quite quickly become quiet or withdrawn. He is still the life and soul of the party, given half a chance.
Powers and Abilities: Angel’s mutation, as might be guessed from his name, is the presence of a sixteen foot wingspan, which give him the power of flight. His whole body is adapted similarly to that of a bird - with keen eyesight, and eyes adapted to high-speed winds, a respiratory system that can extract air from high speeds or altitudes, and hollow bones. Additionally, possessing a higher proportion of muscle with virtually no fat, Warren weighs less than a typical man of his height and build. His wings generate enough lift to carry up to 500 pounds of weight in addition to his own, although he himself possesses no extraordinary strength. He can fly under his own power for around twelve hours.
Weaknesses: Warren’s mutation gives him no advantages with regard to combat, and in fact his large wings may make him a more obvious target. His hollow bones are fragile, and could cause major problems if they are ever crushed. Emotionally, Warren is more prone to depression than many people, and he still struggles with feelings that he is a freak and unable to really help anyone.

History: Born the son of a billionaire, life was easy for youngest Warren Worthington. His parents gave him anything and everything any boy could wish for. Due to his father's company needing the man himself, Warren was often alone, without the male role model or father he craved. This was even harder after the death of his mother. She left them when Warren was seven years old, and it constantly was a thorn to his father. Whenever they spoke, Warren would not be looked in the eyes often, as his father could see his mother reflected there. When Warren Sr went away on trips, it was easy enough to give Warren Jr things to do, but his attention was easily diverted.
He loved visiting the Empire State Building with whatever new nanny was appointed to him. They all grew weary of it's sights, but Warren loved to gaze from the rail and watch the people below. His mother had taken him there as a child, and he could recall her most vividly when he was there, that was his intial reasoning, but as he grew older, he realised it was not only this. He adored looking down, the height of the building. He loved watching the people move around. The only difference was that he could see their faces, see how their lips moved as they spoke, and even read their newspaper headlines from the building roof. One day he saw a hawk... It glided through the air as if it were nothing, and Warren was captivated. Only a hand from a white haired woman stopped him toppling over the edge of the building to his untimely demise.
His wings manifested soon after his ninth birthday, and having been raised in a situation where anything deviating from the norm was considered abhorrent, Warren consistantly attempted cut off his wings so that his father would still love him as much. The disappointment upon discovering Warrens's mutation left a lasting impact on Warren Jr. He hated his wings more than ever, and became afraid that everyone would shun him for what he was. As he grew older Warren developed a habit of climbing into high, inaccessible places, trying to escape perhaps? Frustrated with his behaviour, and no doubt wanting to avoid looking at his mutant (and therefore unacceptable) son, Warren Senior sent him to boarding school.
At school things did not begin well. He was popular, sure, but he was uncomfortable with his ever growing wings. He was an athlete for as long as he could be, until his wings began to dictate what he could and couldn't wear. Only when a fire ran through his dormitory did he finally start to come to terms with his mutation. Wearing props of a long blonde wig and a white sheet, he saved the lives of his class mates.
Upon graduating things grew bleak again. He moved to undertake and intership with his father's company, and the family morals became his long-time problem again. Upon hearing his father was developing a cure, he was torn between joy and hatred. He, however, agreed to be one of the first to take the cure, for his fathers sake. As the development started to press forward, he began to get nervous. He wanted to keep his wings. He wanted to fly.
As the time pressed when he would take it, Warren began to feel numb. Nothing was as it should be and he had nothing that kept his spirits up, knowing his only joy would soon be taken from him. One that eventful day, Warren realised it was his choice, not hsi fathers, and his life to live. He dove throught the window - an act of defiance, and an act of freedom. He flew to the only place he thought would help him now.
Soon after his arrival, the X-Men were leaving for Alcatraz. Warren was startled and worried about his father immediately, not enough hatred in him to not forgive his father. He snuck aboard the jet and searched the facility from top to bottom. On not finding him, Warren took to the air and searched there. Luckily he saved his father as he was thrown from the roof, taking him to his home in New York. They made their peace that night and although there is still tension, they are closer than they have been since before his mothers death.
He prefers to live at the Mansion though, and train himself as an X-Man. He visits, but his main life is conducted away from the confines he suffered as a child, and finally he has his total freedom.
After Bobby was arrested, Warren lent him his lawyer, Cameron Hodge. Then Husk came to the school, and she and Bobby started dating soon after. While Bobby was in jail, Warren and Paige got to be very good friends, and then Bobby and Paige broke up after he came back. About a week later, Warren, Paige, and Bobby went to a premiere of a movie Alison Blaire, a movie star, was doing. Warren was Ali's date, because they'd met when Warren went with Bobby to do a Teen People interview, and they'd gotten along well. They'd hung out several times since, and he'd been a part of one of her music videos. When they were leaving the set, she got really nervous because she wanted to kiss him, and when they did kiss, she lost control of her light powers a bit and he found out she was a mutant. Okay so at the premiere, Alison's director tried to blackmail her by threatening to tell everyone she was a mutant, so she declared it to everyone herself, and then things went really bad and her powers went haywire so the X-Men had to get her out of there. Now Alison's back at the mansion. Paige and Bobby had a bad arguement, so Paige up and left, leaving notes for Bobby and Warren and her brother, Sam. Warren has talked to Sam about why Paige left, though he blames Bobby and is worried about Paige himself. Warren's been in the news a lot, everyone thinks he and Alison are dating.
Sample Post: Warren sat in the living room of the mansion, seemingly relaxed and calm. But his mind was a whirlwind or mixed ideas and mangled thoughts. It was as though his body had been paralysed by the many thousands of theories that bombarded his consciousness, leading him in circles that appeared the same, but never led back to his beginning.
Leaning forward, a little of his discomfort and stress now appearing on his brow, Warren groaned in a low tone. How long had it been since everything was 'normal', when no one was angry or had left without any verbal goodbye, when everything was just... easy. It made him frustrated to even think of a time when it wasn't this complex, and it irked him further when he recalled that it was only a short while ago that this was true.
Getting up and running a hand through his hair, down to his neck, which he rubbed idlly, he made himself focus. One thing at a time, one issue, one problem, then one solution. Each part could be worked through..given time.
Time, hah His mind laughed and it bubbled to his throat. That seemed to be the one thing he was lacking, time.
