Adrien took her time getting back to the house, admiring the weather and thinking about what had happened to Lars a moment ago.
She'd reacted so well, so openly. I mean, he seemed a nice enough guy but she'd always been a little shy. Yet her advice had come from her so naturally. Maybe that's what happened when she got out of her element. She learned to survive.
Walking up the steps to the door, she knocked, wondering who would be inside.

The door opened, revealing a slender girl about Adrien's age with a shock of white hair across her forehead. "Hello," Marie said with a nod and a reserved smile, "what can I help you with?"
Another one already? She thought to herself, wondering where the sudden influx of cured kids were popping up from. In the past few days they'd already had four new arrivals! And she thought that with the Baltimore incident and the re-opening of the cure clinics, they would be swamped with even more soon. Where were they going to put them all? Space was tight as it was. Grocery money was even tighter, and Lee had told her what Lar's had said yesterday about quiting his job - they wouldn't be able to fall back on his bank account if they needed to. Actually, with no job he'd probably leave Caldecott County altogether. Afterall, why would anyone want to stay in this podunk town if they lived in Boston? Comon Rogue.

Adrien felt her confidence vaporize. This place was a lot less like a hostel than Caleb had described.
"I..." she sighed and stuck out her hand. Best to fake what you don't have. "My name's Adrien. Adrien Scott. Caleb sent me."
She watched the girl's face. Could it be Caleb was mistaken? Or maybe it was just as Lars said, bad news had just hit. She'd heard about Baltimore. Could these guys have been affected?
"I'm sorry if it's a bad time." She smiled a little. "I can come back later. I ran into Lars just now, we had... coffee... um." Finding nothing else to say, she just smiled.

Marie shook the hand warmly, reverting once again into Southern Hospitality mode. "Good to meet you, Adrien. I'm Marie, I run the Rogue's Place, as the kids fondly call it. Comon in, would you like something to drink?" She was racking her brain, trying to figure out who Caleb was, and how he might know of this place. She didn't know of anyone named Caleb herself, although now that she thought of it, she thought Lee had been living with a Caleb before moving here.
"It's never a bad time to visit," Marie assured her and smiled at a name that she did recognize. "Lars told you then, what happened this morning? It will be fine, our job is here first and foremost." Ushering her inside with a reassuring smile, Marie led her to the kitchen which always ended up being the unofficial meeting spot at the Place.
