So as we don't get too far behind the Brotherhood in a timeline level, maybe we should speed up the meeting?
How much do you guys need to play before we just shoot time forward into the meeting. Secondarily, is the meeting important enough to play out? Maybe we could discuss it oocly, and then say that's what was said at the meeting.
Just trying to push things along. Bein' as I'm an impatient rodent, and itchin' to hit someone with a berzerker barrage.

Well, Bobby has nothing to do until the meeting, and I for one would very much like to skip to that.
If we have it--Thats a good point, that we could just discuss OOCly. After all, the plan would simply be to go to Baltimore and make sure everything goes smoothly. We just need to clarify how much policing versus laying in wait they'd be doing there.
One point to make--The X-Men are much closer than the BH, and they have a jet. So they could arrive a lot sooner that the BH. If they left right after the meeting, especially.
Also important: Wouldn't the X-Men be welcome? I mean, NovaTex would want the added security, wouldn't they?

I agree we should skip to the meeting - Bobby and I just have an already-finished RP to post and then we can do that.
However, I do think we should have the meeting, because I have something to suggest/discuss that I haven't brought up with you guys yet ; ). Which basically involves staying a lot more undercover than I originally thought.
Also, Bobby's right that we're closer and can arrive sooner (although there is the issue of getting Wolverine, which will set us back - unless we chopper to Baltimore and THEN go pick him up, or something).

They don't have a jet, I thought; it got Phoenixified, so they have a helicopter, not that it really matters for purposes of the story.
But would they be welcome to Trask, who's doing security and who hates mutants in general? They're heroes, sure, but a lot of people still don't trust mutants.

Keep in mind that being there with the permission of Trask and/or NovaTeX indicates the X-Men are endorsing the cure. That may not be a direction you want to swing in; I'm sure the X-Men are still very conscious of the publicity they've garnered and the slippery slope they're on to maintain a good reputation.

Too True, too true.
The X-Jet is gone. We've decided they have a temporary replacement Chopper, provided by their good friends at Lockheed. Looking it up, the fastest Helicopter speed on record was 250 MPH. I can only assume the X-Men would have something that can match that, even if I'm sure it's bigger. (I mean, they got Forge)
So if they fly to Mississippi, which is about 1070 miles away, they can get there in about four hours. Pick up Logan, four hours back. Eight hours.
IF they left in about three hours from where the threads currently are, they'd be back in Baltimore Tonight. That's honestly my suggestion.
The Brotherhood are in Genosha, right? That's in the Indian Sea I believe according to the continuity? I think the X-Men would still get there sooner. Not that it matters, really, but that's the plan.
Okay. So the meeting. Shall we just go ahead and push forward to the meeting? Storm, will you start that thread? (Everyone can post in their individual responces what they'd done up until the meeting, in a brief synopsis) Deal?

About the sentinels--Can somebody find out that they will be there before the meeting? I'm thinking Forge could probably scan all the freaking TV channels ever given to anyone in any TV satellite plan, so that's one way to find out. Because I'm sure that the unveiling of the sentinels would have been talked about on the news. More specifically, I'm sure that there would be footage of the unveiling. Because if Bobby can see what they look like, he'll start thinking out how to take them down. Which is why he rules at Halo and various and sundry other video games. Go figure.
I say this because I started thinking about it today--how to take them down. Yesterday I played a couple levels on the X3 Gamecube game where Iceman takes down some sentinels. Pretty much he hits them ten, fifteen times with a hailstorm. But whereas in the game I press that button repeatedly like my life depends on it and shoot everything BUT the sentinels...In the rp battle I shall use more tactics.
Also, in the game my evil cheat book (I know, I'm awful) told me a killer way to use Kurtykins to defeat the sentinels. BAMF onto their shoulder, then BAMF away when another sentinel shoots at him. Since fistfighting wouldn't be very good on the hands I don't think. -punch- -clang- OW!!!!!
Also, I was thinking that Storm and Conduit (<-- if she goes?) could probably short-circuit the sentinels. Then they'd be pretty harmless, I mean the guy inside could maybe get out and start shooting but that's an easy fix. -squish-
Just a few ideas I had(/got from my game/cheat book). I'm trying to do everything I can to make sure we kick some sentinel (and BH) butt!

The sentinels aren't being unveiled from what I understand. There's no confirmed IC knowledge that they'll even be there. Their appearance is all hush-hush.
About Conduit, if the meeting can get into gear, and she can run into Forge, it's very likely she'll go. But with five days to go, and two days with the X-Men board stalling, I don't think it's likely at this point.

Well there's no official word that the Sentinels will be there, no, but the public does now the Sentinel's exist: xpanacea.proboards92.com/index.cgi?board=north&action=display&thread=1151862590Basically everyone's putting two and two together: What a better time to test the Sentinels? As for fighting them, we'll see how badass Trask has made them. Keep in mind there are only 8 of them there, I think. I don't think we'll be goign through them like their hunks of junk like in the comics.

*Considers deeply exactly how mean to be*
;D
OOooh, *has some of his meanness curtailed by Forge*
So Bobby would know what they LOOK like if he wanted to dig a bit. The specifications and capabilities have, quite obviously been rather closely guarded however.

Ah but we're not really. The idea, if I get my Stormy way ; ), will be to protect as many innocent people as possible and (try to) not get caught up on one-side or the other.
Basically everyone's putting two and two together: What a better time to test the Sentinels?
Yup. We'll have the visuals for them and will be assuming they'll be there.
