The Brotherhood’s Europe Trip[/u]
Part One – Thread: Transit
Pyro, the Juggernaut and Python head out of Genosha, via Italy, towards the UK. The flight goes without any occurrences of particular interest, unless you count the Juggernaut attempting to make balloon animals out of condoms.
Upon arrival in the UK, the Juggernaut’s first port of call is a kebab shop. The stench of the foul ‘delicacy’ makes Pyro throw up all over a little old lady in a mini. They arrive in Liverpool town centre. By this time, Pyro is particularly prickly. (Ah, alliteration!) A rude passer-by angers him, makes him lose his temper and he starts flaming things randomly whilst the Juggernaut breaks into the bank.
Inside the bank, a young (green) woman named Jane Martin is unsuccessfully attempting to cash a cheque when the wall implodes. The Juggernaut enters, takes the bank safe (nobody really makes any sort of attempt to stop him!) and turns to head back outside, where Pyro is having a whale of time.
Right up to when he gets shot in the shoulder by the armed police response unit.
He successfully manages to keep himself conscious long enough to provide a cover for Juggernaut to get away from the bank. The Juggernaut takes care of the rest of the police and the three Brotherhood members flee the scene – followed by Jane who has witnessed all the events. She hails them and offers her assistance.
Part Two – Thread: Escape
Python, the Juggernaut and a barely conscious Pyro agree to accept the (green) woman’s help and without further ado, she uses Python’s pocket knife to get the bullet out of Pyro’s shoulder. Despite the amount of blood (and pain, serves him right), Pyro’s injury doesn’t appear to be life threatening. She demonstrates her ability to control plants by growing poppies and drip-feeding the still-conscious Pyro undistilled opium. He gets momentarily high, then finally passes out.
Python and the Juggernaut follow Jane who suggests they hide out at her place until Pyro is sufficiently recovered.
Part Three – Thread: Home
The mutants arrive at Jane’s apartment and with much creaking and groaning when the Juggernaut arrives, all manage to get up the fire escape and into her flat. Pyro briefly resurfaces into consciousness and demonstrates a staggering lack of tolerance for drugs by giggling like an idiot for a while. Python gives him a Good Talking To and Pyro finally falls into a healing sleep.
Poor Jane finds herself hosting three dangerous criminals and does what any sensible person would do.
She offers them lunch.
Part Four – Thread: Recovery
Five hours have passed.
Pyro regains consciousness and more control over his own brain now that the effects of the opium have worn off. The Juggernaut is watching TV and a news item featuring the Brotherhood’s attack on the bank is shown. Python realises that Pyro’s plan all along was to make the world at large aware that the Brotherhood still exists – a bit of free advertising.
Jane is rather (rightly so) horrified when she appears in the news article as well. So now she’s hosting three dangerous criminals and is a wanted woman herself. She realises through the article that they’re with the Brotherhood. Pyro notices her anxiety and reassures her that it’ll all be OK, that she can take some of the cash and that they’ll be out of her hair soon. Jane asks outright if she can come with them.
Pyro suffers an attack of adolescence and goes all tongue tied for a few moments before agreeing.
The Brotherhood cram their ill-gotten gains into several carrier bags and prepare to leave Jane’s apartment, Python helping Pyro down the fire escape which the Juggernaut then proceeds to destroy utterly.
Part Five: Continues in thread Retreat, not yet complete.[/b]
