[Survival of the Fittest]
[align=right]Two long months have passed since the "Final" Battle of Alcatraz Island and the "Death" of Jean Grey. Life has been upturned in every way that could possibly be imagined and the thin line between distortion and reality has been crossed...repeatedly.
After the near destruction of the tiny Prison Island, the X-Men and Brotherhood retreated to their santuaries and began building anew. Storm and her long time friend Emma Frost began plans to continue Xavier's dream of teaching young Mutants everywhere tolerance and control, even in his absence.
Scott began healing all over again with the second loss of Jean and Logan started making plans to leave the X Mansion for good. Rouge, a seemingly normal human being, has returned to the school as a student and she rejoices in the fact that her realationship with Iceman is back on track.
Even the Brotherhood had no trouble licking their wounds. Pyro, with the help of many others, has begun preparring to lead the band of Mutant terrorists in Magneto's footsteps and to take revenge on every single person he sees as responsible. Mostly Warren Worthington and the very people who took him in as a troubled teenager.
But fate's a cruel master, if I do say so myself...
Now as the two month anniversary of the events at Alcatraz Island approach, panic has hit the country, and the globe. The so called Cure that had taken away the powers of so many and changed the course oif history as we knew it was fadeing. All over the world former Mutants were waking up with their powers and beginning anew. To some, like Magneto and his Brotherhood, it was a triumph, but to those few it was a death sentance.
Once again the wafer-thin barrier between war and peace that had been created from Mutant to Human has crumbled and Magneto has begun to regain his thirst for Mutant superiority as his powers grow stronger. With the X-Men in shambles, Professor Xavier in a full coma and the Pheonix Force still a fresh memory in everyone's mind, how will any one defeat the Brotherhood.
Will you take the road less traveled and defend peace or align with those of strength and strong mind. For these laws have been in place since before the birth of man, survive or die, this is true still today.
