Post Decimation is set in a time after M-Day, when the Scarlet Witch and Magneto have depowered almost all of the mutants. Except for 27 students, the whole population of mutants at the Academy have been depowered. Many of the still powered mutants left were captured and killed, depowered through scientific means, or went into hiding.
It is five years later after M-Day, and there are many new mutants walking amoung the humans. Threats on politicians lives have been starting to appear more and more frequently now, and the humans are scared. Scared, that the mutants will come back even stronger, and seek revenge for the humans' unjust actions. The new Brotherhood of Mutants, established under an extremely powerful vixen named Electra, is steadily gaining members, who find fun in torturing the humans. They believe that the homo superiors should rule the humans.
In order to stop the madness of the Brotherhood, and right the havoc they releashed upon the mutants, a large group of Pro-Mutant Rights Senators made a compact with the good mutants to protect the humans, and stop the Brotherhood. Under the guidance of Travis Laughlin, and his trusted associates, mutant teens are welcomed to the newly restored Xavier Institute, where they can learn how to control their powers, and fight the evils of the Brotherhood.
Where do you, a teenager who has recently found out that you have mutant powers, take a stand? To fight for the right and join the New X-Men, or squash the humans for good with the aid of the Brotherhood? Or are you one of the many who just can't seem to find that perfect place?
