Hades Portal
Will you be a savior, or condemn your people to Hell?
Thoughts;
As Owner, I have lots of thoughts about Hades Portal. Everyone loves to talk in the General Chat section, so don't worry about being out of place. As the Owner, I've met a bunch of new people already and I'm looking forward to getting to know more (like you, =)). Although the site is considered "intermediate to advanced", it's not like I expect everyone to post replies with thousands of words. What's also great about this RPG is that you can do so many things you wouldn't be able to do at other sites. The future of the plot is determined by the member's posts and their character's reactions. What's going to happen is not written out in stone, at all. Also, have an outrageous plot idea that you don't think most Admin would accept? Believe me, that idea probably can find a good home at Hades Portal. I'm very willing to consider everyone's ideas and put them to use as best as possible. So, excited? I hope you are! I'm looking forward to seeing you as a member at Hades Portal. Read on:
Plot;
They had only just laid his father down to rest for eternity when the plan was finally set into motion. His father’s words rang in his head, encircling every thought, not letting him sleep at night until he was sure that every little detail about the crime he was about to commit against the world was solid. Perfect. There could be no flaws, whatsoever. It was with great care that he handled the time-turner, his pale fingers twisting the knob so that the largest hand was placed on the year 1998 and the second hand placed on September. He contemplated even sending his accomplice back into the year 1980 when all of his Lord’s troubles began, with the birth of Potter, but decided against it, thinking that it was too risky. It was better he worked with a time he knew well enough rather than a year he, too, had just been born into.
Once he finished placing the hands of the time-turner into their correct positions, he began to speak. His voice was firm but not harsh, demanding, but not overbearing. “You remember everything you are supposed to do once I’ve placed this time-turner around you neck, right?” He glanced out of the corner of his eye, taking in the resolute form of the girl who stood beside him. He knew she remembered. She always remembered. “The success of what you are doing is very dear to my late father’s heart. You cannot fail.” To himself he continued, “I can’t fail, not this time.” He swiveled around in the high-backed chair he was sitting in and stared into the young girl’s innocently shining eyes – eyes that were the same as his own. “I can trust you, can’t I?”
The girl was tall and sturdy but undeniably beautiful. She was the perfect mix of her mother’s grace and her father’s intelligence. You could see it in her eyes, those cold, silver eyes, that even she knew what she was capable of. She could deceive even the toughest Death Eater, as long gone as they were, and she could out speak even the most studied politician. Therefore, she only nodded to his question. Why couldn’t he trust her? She was everything he could have asked for in a criminal.
“Yes, I’ve got it.” The red headed teenager cut in, her voice just as smooth as the man’s. Her lips curled into a smile and she said, mockingly, “Would you like me to recite what I will say? Oh, very well.” She waved a hand impatiently and the man couldn’t help by chuckle. Perhaps she had been spending too much time with Bellatrix. “How’s this? ‘Oh, help me, I come from the future. He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named rules my time. Help me! Do not destroy the last Horcrux, it is a fake!” She delivered her speech in an overly worried tone, obviously not exactly how it should be said when it came to the real thing. The idea that what she was saying was a complete and utter lie should not even cross the Order’s mind. Still, he went along with the charade. “Why, good job Hades, marvelous. You are befitting of your Malfoy surname, indeed.”
Yes, Malfoy. The red-headed girl and the pale man were both Malfoys; father and daughter, actually. The man was Draco Malfoy, head of Malfoy Purity Furnishing, Inc. one of the few pureblood fanatic corporations still around. The girl was his daughter, Hades Malfoy. Her mother, Ginevra Weasley, was inconsequential. She had only been used to produce a pureblooded child to Draco Malfoy; there had been no further need for her after Hades had been born. However, the fact that Hades looked so much like her mother was invaluable for the plan’s success. The only way the Order of 1998 – that’s twenty-two years into the past – would believe this entirely fabricated plot was if it was delivered by one of their own.
When taking into consideration the complete personality change Hades would have to go through, the task at hand was not at all an easy one. The world she grew up in - the world without Voldemort, where Precious Potter and his gang of hapless puppies ruled the Ministry - would be considered a good one by most. Some people disagreed altogether, however, particularly old Death Eaters. To them, this life was boring. They were like the Vikings, looking for villages to torch and pilfer and people to kill. They yearned for the life they once lived, the power that had been at their disposal. In their minds, they dreamt of a world where Precious Potter never destroyed the final horcrux, the final object that kept their Lord Voldemort alive.
Draco Malfoy, by the last words of his father, was attempting to create this Hell for his comrades. By sending his daughter into the past, conveniently disguised as a Weasley, he would be able to stop Potter from reaching the final horcrux. Not only would Hades get her hands on the invaluable item, Ravenclaw’s Crossbow, but she would throw the pursuers off with some lies about the horcrux, saying that destroying the horcrux would not defeat Voldemort, as it was not a real horcrux. Instead, it would feed Voldemort what lie dormant inside – Salazar Slytherin’s darkest powers. The fools that they were, they couldn’t help but take into consideration what this young child said. What if she, by chance, were right? Could they risk unleashing this power to Voldemort? No, of course not. They would never risk the lives of so many innocents, dirty and tainted as they would. Fools.
Draco could see everything unfolding now. He could see Potter speaking up to the Order, thinking that by stopping the destruction of the horcrux for at least the time being, they were saving the people. He didn’t know that he would not complete his quest to destroy Voldemort, that he was creating the new future that fit Malfoy’s desire rather than his own. Yes, it would be Potter who ultimately created the Hell the Death Eaters so yearned for.
Now, with all this in mind, it was time to send Hades back in time to fulfill what she was born to complete. She would create a portal that would alter the future into a Hell only souls are dark as a Malofy’s could love.
“Create…our Lord’s…Hell,” as Lucius had said.
Hell’s Portal?
Hades Portal.
