The cure doesn’t work
Four little words shouldn’t be able to change this much...
Four little words mean that the cured are the cursed again. That the defeated rise. That the victorious have a whole new set of problems to deal with. Friends become enemies, enemies become allies, and the world becomes a big, scary place again.
The official line is that a new day has dawned, that mutants and humans can co-exist. Down where it matters, ‘mutant’ remains the only truly dirty word. The only real ‘truth’ is that no one really knows what’s going on, and that a storm is coming. The story is far from over, the ‘last stand’ only the beginning
