When last we were in the Caribbean, the heart of the Oceans themselves were in the sinister, money-grubbing hands of the East India Trading Company.
But that is not our story.
In fact, prepare yourself to enter a world sans Captain Jack Sparrow and his crew of miscreants. Will Turner is not part of our story, nor is Elizabeth Swann. While they may exist, our stories will not center on them.
Our stories focus on four very different ships –
The Black Dahlia: Captained by the strange Ophelia “Mania” Delaney whose lack of sanity is infamous. Even the crew doesn’t trust her much although that may be because she’s a female captain and they are a rare breed indeed. First mate, young Welshman Isaac Hopkins does what he can to minimize conflict but it isn’t always easy.
The Bloody Mary: Both rival and sister ship to the Dahlia. She is captained by Arcus D’aquin, a man hailing from Haiti whose heart is rumored to be as dark as his skin - or so say the folks of Tortuga.
HMS Victory: A ship of the Royal Navy out of Port Royal and captained by Joseph Kilpatrick whose soul purpose in life is to see all pirates hanged for their crimes, no matter how small.
Finally, there is The Nephilim: A ship that sank many a year ago and subsequently raised from the depths by Satan himself. She is captained by Lucian, a half-human and half-demon son of that very devil. He is charged with collecting shipfuls of souls, 333 in total to mock the Holy Trinity each boatload. And he has just decided that wouldn’t it be easier to sink the ships upon the seas to gain more souls even more easily...
These are your ships...
