X-Men; What Now?
The dust after the recent war has settled, and Mutants and Humans alike, are slowly picking up the pieces.
Many humans and mutants have died because of the recent manifestation of the cure and the battle it had caused at Alcatraz. That night changed the word forever, but people do carry on, even if they do so struggling.
Xavier’s Institute for Gifted Youngsters is still running by Ororo Monroe. The school currently consists of only two other staff members, Logan and Hank McCoy. The three of them struggle to carry on after the recent events. Miss Monroe struggles to fine new staff for the large school while she declared the semester over, giving the students that still remained a much need vacation.
The students, they struggle to rebuild their lives and desperately cling on to who they once were, but it is impossible after the deaths of Charles Xavier and Scott Summers as well as the return of Jean Grey and her second death.
The brotherhood has fallen apart, but Magneto is slowly rebuilding the mutant group as his own powers come back. They are keeping a low profile, per Magneto’s orders. They’re waiting for the perfect time to strike and put the humans to their place, blow them, as slaves.
Ah yes. The cure didn’t work permanently either. Mutants that took the ‘Cure’ are now slowly getting their mutations back, and they aren’t full out pleased with it either, unless they were forced to take the cure, like Mystique had been.
As the dust finally settles, a form government run program rebuilds its self unknown to the public, or the government for that matter with a new 'boss'. A young woman now takes on William Stryker's footsteps and she will not fail like he did. Weapon X is slowly growing with power as their invitory grow from a few donations.
Will the dust have a chance to settle before Weapon X strikes again?
