Forge's modifications on the massive chopper were complete within the hour, and he and Storm made their final preperations with the rest of the school. Among the last things they had done was to give Forge's X-Communicators to the rest of the X-men: Iceman, Shadowcat, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Angel, and one that Forge snuck to Rayen. Forge included a small printout of instructions, and the devices weren't that hard to figure out anyway.
The two X-Men left in the chopper, with promises to return in about nine hours. They flew with haste towards the south, anxious to include one of the now-veteran members of the X-Men on this important mission.
Forge had taken the time to pack them something of a couple lunches, but included a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts.
The fought a little bit about music selection, but mostly got along, swapping stories and jokes. Forge began to get a first hand account of all the X-Men's many adventures.
(basically, they left around 9 am, and they will return that night at 6pm. The plan is for the X-Men to head to Baltimore the following morning)
