Havok stepped out of the taxi that had taken him here from the airport. He walked around the back and collected his duffel bag, then went around to the driver's side to pay the man. Alex was tempted not to pay him the whole fee because of his slow driving, but wasn't interested in getting into an argument first thing in the morning. The man drove off--a lot faster than he was driving to get here, Havok noticed--and Alex walked up to the gate. He pressed the intercom* (or whatever it's called). "Hi, this is Alex Summers. Anyone there?"
(*not sure if it was ever used in the movie but i can't picture them just letting anyone in, especially after X2. if the intercom thing is a problem i'll remove it)

The voice that responded, after nearly thirty seconds, was that of a male around twenty. Before responding, Bobby had searched his mind to be sure. No, he definently didn't know an Alex Summers. "Mr. Summers--"
A pause - a very slight pause, but a pause nonetheless. Bobby of course dismissed the possibility that this man could be somehow related to Scott Summers, but at saying 'Mr. Summers', the idea entered his head. He'd looked to the screen that showed the security camera's view of the front gate, and he didn't think that the man looked like Scott. So he tossed aside his concerns.
"Someone will be at the door to meet you," he said as he unlocked the gate. Then he stood and made his way to the front door. He didn't like the office work anyway. They rarely put him on the job - he was only filling in because someone else was sick. He was still brooding over the letter Paige had left him, but he tucked it into his pocket as he left the room, and put a pleasant look on his face as he opened the front door and stepped out onto the patio to greet their new guest.

The gates opened and Alex walked through them with purposeful strides, all the way up the long drive to the front doors. He stopped before Bobby and extended his hand. "Hi. Are you the guy who goes by Forge?" He'd emailed him before coming but wasn't sure what he looked like. If this was him he was definetly younger than Alex had pictured him.

Bobby smiled and waved to Alex Summers as the man walked toward him - as though he needed direction to find the huge front patio and grand front entrance to the school. "Hey," he greeted him as he came up the steps.
"Hi. Are you the guy who goes by Forge?"
Bobby shook his head with that smile still in place. "No; I go by Iceman. Actually, I don't really go by Iceman. That's my codename. I go by Bobby." His smile cracked wider with his sheepishness, and he extended a hand, starting over with the introduction.
"Hey. I'm Bobby Drake."
"I can get Forge for you, if you'd like. Did he say he'd meet you?"

"Yeah, but i can wait if he's busy. This place is huge!" He smiled despite himself. "Wanna show me around so I don't get lost?"

"Of course," Bobby said, nodding toward the school as he started to move across the patio to the great wooden doors. "C'mon."
"Okay, hello and welcome to Xavier Tours. The original mansion was built here in the 1700s by a stinkin' rich Dutchman. Its been added to and renovated quite a few times since, and it's now, well, pretty freakin' awesome." Bobby enjoyed showing the new people around. He enjoyed new people in general. He always tried to make them feel as welcome as possible - and right now, it was helping to take his mind off of Paige's sudden disappearance. Mostly. Somewhat. Upon opening the door and seeing a flash of blonde hair and white on someone's back, thinking it was Warren, Bobby did a double-take. He hoped to find a chance to speak with Warren, since he hadn't had the opportunity during the meeting.
But alas, it was another blonde student, wearing a white t-shirt. Go figure.
Turning his attention back to Alex, Bobby continued, pausing and turning while the door was still open. "We have just about everything here...The stables are out there, to the right of the drive..." His hand gestured accordingly. "And the garages are out to the left..."
He turned from the door to face into the school. "There's a pool out back, gardens, a basketball court. The dorms - we'll find you a room pretty soon so you can put your stuff down. Then past that, there's a lake and the boathouse."
"Oh, and then, of course, there's the inside here, which I'll show you. Classrooms and stuff - though..." Bobby looked to Alex curiously. "How old are you? They don't do much in the way of college classes here. I mean, if you're here for the place to stay, that's perfectly fine, too."

Havok looked around in accordance to the features that Bobby pointed out. This place was amazing. "I'm a little too old to be a student here. No, I'm not here to be a student, I'm here to discuss the X-men with Forge*. My mutant name is Havok. Or code name. Whatever," he said dismissively, more concerned with the rather impressive architecture around him.
(*Since they went public, sort of, I don't think it would be that out of place to mention them like that. if Forge would have said to keep quiet about it i'll edit but Bobby does live here so...)

(ooc: I don't think it would have been out of place at all lol)
"Havok," Bobby repeated as they walked through the entryway. A few students walked in pairs, a couple of younger boys racing around the corner, right in front of them, and bounding up the stairs, laughing all the way.
"I like that. It's not obvious," Bobby appraised. But it also left him curious as to just what Alex could do to raise havoc. "If you don't mind me asking...what are your powers?"

"I discharge energy. I think it's some sort of plasma. I'm not big on using my powers in public so it's not like I've been able to run tests on it or anything. I could probably demolish a house in a few seconds. Well, a normal-sized one. Nothing like this," reluctant aw krept into his voice. "So what do you do? Make ice?" Would make sense with a code name like Iceman, but so would turning into ice or just making things cold, so he had to ask.

"Cool," Bobby commented after listening to Havok's powers. "Yeah, I can make ice - things out of ice, cover things in ice, ice shields, walls, the works. I can lower temperatures - I like things right around twenty degrees, except then everything freezes and people get mad." Bobby grinned at him as he started to lead him down the wide hall to the right.
"And I can become ice. Which is definently my favorite of all of it." Bobby thought of what Emma had made him do; using an ice slide to travel around in mid-air, and turning into water vapor and back. Things he'd tried since and couldn't do.
Shaking the thoughts from his mind, Bobby paused at the first doorway. "This is the TV Room. It's usually on the Disney channel or VH1, but occasionally it'll have the news on."
"And down here is the dining room and kitchen..." Bobby said as he continued on. "There's a cafeteria too, of course. The staff and/or the X-Men usually eat in here. Since a couple of us are still students." Well, it was really only Kitty now. Bobby was starting college classes in the fall, and Piotr had been in college before, and was now on leave from the X-Men anyway.
"So what makes you want to join the X-Men?" Bobby asked jovially. He always loved discussing the X-Men because he had quite a passion for it. It he were asked that question, he knew exactly what he'd say.

Havok looked Bobby square in the eye to answer his question. He wasn't one to wear his emotions on his sleeve. Unless he was angry. "My brother went here," he said evenly, though to say it was painful. "He was an X-man too. I think you guys called him Cyborg or something. Had a geeky visor thing." His expression was neutral, but there was regret behind it, that he never really got to know Scott, to watch him fight for his dream.

"My brother went here. He was an X-man too."
Bobby nodded, intrigued. He was about to ask who his brother was, but Alex went on. What he said next shocked Bobby.
"I think you guys called him Cyborg or something. Had a geeky visor thing."
Bobby literally slowed to a stop, stopping in the middle of the hallway, his eyes on Alex. "...Scott?" It was a question, but not a question as to whether or not he was right in his guess. It couldn't have been anyone else. But Scott had never mentioned anything about having a brother.
Bobby couldn't find words to say for a long few moments, and finally he spoke just to end the silence. "Wow...I, uh...I didn't know he had a brother..."
He looked surprised, and unsure, and somber. "Let me get Forge," he said, half to himself. He started to move again, to continue their tour, though his mind had now been sufficiently distracted. He pressed a small round button on the collar of his t-shirt. It beeped quietly, and he spoke - but not to Havok.
"Forge."
"It's Iceman. Alex Summers is here." He released the button. There wasn't anything else he could say.
Turning his attention back to Alex, he spoke again. "That's...great. That you want to follow him." He didn't feel that telling Alex that Scott had been a great man was the best thing to do at that time; first of all, he probably already knew it, and whether he did or not, people didn't like to be reminded of their lost loved ones all the time.

"Yeah." The Iceman looked really surprised. "Let me guess, he didn't talk about me much?" Not so much of a question as a statement. "We didn't get along very well." Understatement of the century. Alex watched as he pushed a button in his collar and called for Forge. Cool. That or the guy was just really weird. Hopefully it was a communicator and he wasn't just talking to himself. Alex smirked a little at the thought.
But then he made the comment about following Scott. "I'm not following him," he said more sharply than he'd intended. It was basic little-brother instinct not to want to be second best, which was how Alex took it even though Iceman probably didn't mean it that way. He began again in a tone a little less hostile, "Well, I mean, I want to do things right this time, you know?"

Bobby studied Alex for a couple of seconds, hearing the sharp undertone to his voice. It was surprising, but then Bobby understood better than anyone that brothers didn't usually like to be compared.
He nodded. "Understandable," he said easily as he headed for the kitchen door. He paused just inside, looking around. "The kitchen," he said simply, nodding. Turning and gesturing to the next room, he said, "...and the dining room."
"Yeah, I know things can get complicated with brothers," Bobby said as they started walking again. "Mine's a self-centered prick who, on top of that, is pretty anti-mutant."

Havok kept in step with Bobby. He was actually taking slightly smaller steps because of his height. Anti mutant...Alex felt a little bit of guilt at that comment. He'd been hiding who he was for years. Was that anti-mutant too? He laughed a little half-heartedly. "Brothers, huh?"

"Yeah. They suck," Bobby agreed automatically, though he then caught himself in his mind. Scott had been a great guy - a little uptight, and a little whipped, sure, but a great person. One of the best Bobby had ever known. Why hadn't he and Alex gotten along? Bobby reminded himself that he couldn't assume that Alex was like Scott. He'd said himself that he didn't want to be like him.
"So, are you at school anywhere?" he asked to make conversation.

"I'm out. Could only take school for so long before I got fed up. Never thought I would end up someplace like this playing super hero. If I had any idea I might have just worked at a grocery store for a few years or something and made some money first," he joked. Maybe he would have had more of a personal life too. College had been mostly a bunch of studying while the guys that weren't serious about their future partied and calling Mom and Dad for more book money.

"You get paid," Bobby said automatically, then paused. Playing superhero...He wasn't sure if he should correct the guy or not. Bobby never thought of them as superheroes, though he knew the media did. "Kind of like in credit. Pays well, though. The Professor is--was--rich."
His smile only faltered slightly as he corrected himself. Yet another great man who had perished at the hands of this war.
"The rooms are upstairs. Do you want to get one now, or wait until later?"

So he got paid. That was good. He wouldn't have to find a job. He didn't comment when Iceman corrected himself about the Professor. He knew death could be hard and sometimes these little moments of silence was all anyone could do to honor the deceased. Even Alex took a few moments out of his day sometimes to remember Scott. Most of the memories weren't good but that was his fault as much as Scott's.
"I wouldn't mind putting my stuff down." It wasn't a lot, and it wasn't particularly heavy, but his duffel bag was still a little bit annoying hanging off his shoulder the whole time.

Bobby doubled back the way they'd come, leading Alex toward the stairs by the front entrance. "And on that wing are all the classrooms and stuff," he said, pointing down the wing they hadn't gone down.
He paused in the office near the front, going around behind the desk and grabbing a room key. "The room next to mine is open," he said as he left the office to join Alex once more.
"And up here," he continued as he started up the stairs, "are the dorm rooms. Girls on the right, guys on the left - and don't forget it, or you'll find yourself very much in the wrong room, probably at a very bad time."
"So. What do you do for fun wherever it is you come from? Do you play basketball? Baseball? Halo III?"
