When Hannah wrapped her arms around his neck, Bobby let the arm supporting her shoulders let go, and he grabbed the brass doorknob and turned it. He stepped to the side as he opened the door, pushing it farther open with his hip as he stepped into the school once again.
He immediately looked around the entryway, hoping to see someone who could find Storm while he took the young girl to the infirmary. He had to find someone before he could take her down there, because he doubted anyone was there already.

"Did Miss Jenny come back?" She asked, trying hard to hold on.
Hannah lifted her face, though it hurt her neck. She'd never felt more exhausted. The doctors had warned her about trying it too often. But she just had to try. It didn't work, and now she was here.
Her almost silver eyes looked at Bobby, only inches from his face. "I'm okay." She coughed, turning her head as fluid rattled in her lungs. "I'm okay. I'm just sick from phasing." She rubbed her nose, the gesture cute if it weren't sad.

"Did Miss Jenny come back?"
Bobby tore his eyes from their sweep of the hallway when she asked him this. He had to wonder if 'Miss Jenny', whoever she was, was the person who had left the young girl outside the school. If she had--whoever had--ought to have thought of the girl's safety and at least seen to it that she got inside. 'Who would abandon a child like that?' Bobby wondered silently.
"I don't know Miss Jenny--but once we get you comfortable and make sure you're alright, we can--" Bobby stopped himself. He didn't want to promise that they would try to find her. It would have been all too easy for someone to drop Hannah off and disappear, untraceable. At that point, Hannah had a coughing fit, which distracted Bobby from fumbling to finish his sentence.
"I'm okay. I'm just sick from phasing."
Phasing. So that was her power. While he didn't know the specifics of everything that that entailed, he knew generally what it was. It was no doubt an important thing to know when they checked her health.
Bobby turned back to examine the left hallway, which he'd searched first. He saw no sign of movement, and heard no approaching footsteps on the hardwood floors. He came to the decision then to take her down to the medical lab alone; besides, he was pretty positive that there was a phone there that he could use to call Storm's office, if not page her. And if he didn't reach her, he'd call each of the offices until he found someone.
"Let's go ahead down to the...the nurse's office," Bobby said as he started for the hallway that led through the living room and to the elevator concealed in the wooden panels of the wall. "I'm Bobby, by the way," he added as he walked through the living room towards the wall. "What's your name?"
(ooc: If she already said her name and I'm having a brain fart, just let me know in your reply and I'll edit that part out lol)

(ooc she did, we can say he didn't hear her the first time. small weak voice and all)
"Hannah," she said, pressing herself closer to him for comfort as she looked around the new building. It was almost a snuggle, if every movement didn't hurt her like it did. "Phase Type C. That is what is on my file, so you can look there if you want to."
"I've already had my etaygee this month Bobby." she coughed into her arm, wincing but turning her face away so he couldn't see. "Do I get a room like at the lab?"

Bobby noted the way she pressed close to his chest. Though he often hung out with the younger kids at the school (though almost without exception the boys rather than the girls), he'd never had one take to him--he'd never felt particularly close to one, or protective of one. But he felt his heart go out to the young girl in his arms as she talked. Though he knew so very little about her, he found himself not only hoping that she was healthy, but that the mystery of her abandon would be resolved--either that she would be reunited with 'Miss Jenny', or that she would stay there at the school, where she would be safe.
"Do I get a room like at the lab?"
Bobby paused by the wall and pressed the button to open the elevator door. "Well, if you want to stay here, after you get a check-up we can get you a room. But it won't be like a hospital room--This is a school."
He turned and look around the room one last time as the door opened--still no one. He stepped into the elevator and pushed the button that would guide him to the floor with the medical lab. The door slid closed, and Bobby shifted his weight as he stood in the center of the lighted elevator.
"Did you spend time in a hospital?" He asked her curiously as the elevator began to slide smoothly down.

Hannah thought about it. She didn't know some of the words he used. She knew about school, but not 'a' school. She went to school with the other kids, in the middle of the day. Was the lab a school?
It didn't look anything like this.
The tip of a small finger drew a zig-zag on his shoulder. "Miss Jenny says not to go back. That I have to stay here. She said you would be nice." Suddenly, her pale face breaks out in a simple smile. Obviously, his demeanor calmed her somehow.
"I've never gone to a hostital." She shakes her head a little. "Is a hos..tital like the lab? Do they have doctors there too, and scien-tists, and a Miss Jenny?" She nods, coughing a little. She makes sure to cover her mouth. "She's a teacher. She's very smart."
As Hannah looks around again, she holds all the tighter to him. "Elevator. Can you feel the swoosh?" She looks at him, her eyes dulled over by illness, yet still dancing with life.

"Miss Jenny says not to go back. That I have to stay here. She said you would be nice."
Bobby took this information in as he turned his gaze away from Hannah and looked at the lights over the elevator door switching as they passed levels. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable by staring at her.
"I've never gone to a hostital." She shakes her head a little. "Is a hos..tital like the lab? Do they have doctors there too, and scien-tists, and a Miss Jenny? She's a teacher. She's very smart."
Bobby began to get an uneasy feeling deep in his stomach when Hannah didn't know what a hospital was. If she'd been in a lab...It sounded to him like she had been experimented on. William Stryker's face flashed into his mind, along with what Logan had told him about what he'd found at Alkali Lake.
"A hospital is where sick people go to get better. They have doctors, too."
"Elevator. Can you feel the swoosh?" As she spoke, the elevator came to a stop, and the doors began to open. Bobby smiled down at her, and laughed under his breath. He would have spun her around or something, things he usually did to make kids laugh...But despite her calm appearance, she did look very sick. He didn't want to make that worse. So as he stepped out into the long lit hallway that ran underneath the school, he asked her another question. "What did you do in the lab?"
(ooc: This is the cutest little girl ever)

Hannah looked at him.
"Um.. I sleep, and.. eat breakfast. And then we have school, and then I have private lessons with Sensei." She giggles, thinking of something, but didn't share it. "And then I talk to the scien-tists." She always had trouble with that word, as if the repeated 's' sound was difficult for her still. "And then they put those sucky things on me, and I try to go to different places they tell me to go." She nodded, staring at him.
Hannah realized she was making Bobby uncomfortable. She could feel his unease rise through the air, and it made her joints ache all the more. She frowned softly. "I do other stuff to." She withdrew a bit, turning her head away and resting it on his shoulder.
She watched the light change as they stepped out of the elevator, calmly taking in the new environment. Mostly, she wanted to go back to the lab. But Bobby was nice, like Miss Jenny said.

The tests had run smoothly, and Forge was pleased. The new weapon both looked and worked with beauty, and would certainly be a force to be reckoned with by any man or mutant – he had four different assault methods on it for just that reason. If nothing else, Forge was a guy who loved to plan ahead.
He ran his hands along the smooth steel, caressing the weapon as if she were a long lost love, and his mind raced with ideas for it: How to enhance it; How to keep it cooled off more effectively; How he needed to create a polymer plastic-carbite model just incase they ever ran across another mutant like Magneto.
In fact, he was so entranced by the notion that he barely noticed the elevator spring open in front of him, and Iceman step out with a little girl in his arms.

Looking up, Bobby saw Forge, and a look of relief spread across his face. "Forge! We need Storm,' he said intensely. He realized that having only spent one night in the school, Forge probably wouldn't know that Hannah did not live there. Bobby decided not to go over the details, and only explained, "She's sick."
Bobby started down the hall, taking slow steps backwards as he looked at Forge. "Can you find her? Or call her?" He knew Forge could probably point at some electronic and make it page Ororo.

Hannah looked at Forge, wondering what it was he was so happy about. The hallways looked strange, and though she started to feel nervous, Bobby seemed concerned for her. It was a different feeling than what she could feel around other adults. Others that weren't Miss Jenny, anyway.
She closed her eyes, arms loosening on his neck. It hurt to use the muscles of her arms and shoulders for that long. So tired...
Hannah opened the palm of her hand to look at the marks under her skin. She would watch them fade from blackish-purple, to gray-blue, to yellow again. She'd seen a lot of her travelling injuries, and in a life spent entirely in one building day after day, she'd had plenty of opportunity to explore such minute changes.
She coughed, this time the fit lasting as she gasped, coughing again. She turned her face away frmo Bobby, putting her hand over her mouth. At the end of one particular painful sounding cough, she whimpered.
"I'm not sick. It's just from phasing. I'm always like this." Hannah closed her eyes again, tired.

Forge’s eyebrows narrowed as he examined the girl, and then looked up at Bobby. “Oh, right, Storm… yeah, hold on.”
His eyes seemed to space out a little as the small and extraordinarily powerful hand computer he had strapped to his leg began to work its magic. Putting part of his consciousness into the machine, he worked the computer online, and found his home PC back in his room with it. He executed a small program he’d worked on this morning, part of his many contingencies for the school, and selected a few specifics.
Of course, none of this was visible to the Iceman, or the utterly adorable little girl in his arms. In the few seconds it took him to do this, he noted the bruise on her arm, and considered what she said. She wasn’t sick, it was from phasing. Wasn’t this something Bobby should’ve known about? Maybe it was a side affect the teachers were unaware of. She seemed to be getting more fatigued by the minute.
He shrugged these thoughts away, and became painfully aware of the massive cannon he still held lovingly in his arms.
Awkward.
Meanwhile, an automated, female voice began to speak over the rarely used speakers implanted throughout the mansion.
“ATTENTION… ALL X-MEN PLEASE REPORT TO THE MEDICAL LABORATORY IMMEDIATELY. REPEAT: ALL X-MEN TO THE MEDICAL LAB IMMEDIATELY.”
He knew that this may not be a complete emergency, but he had a feeling that the news about the Cure earlier should be discussed. He had a feeling it was going to be an eventful day, and Forge, though new, decided maybe they should all assemble and discuss what was going to happen about the trap… err… the cure rally.
Besides, the girl really did look pretty sick.

“Oh, right, Storm… yeah, hold on.”
Since Forge didn't move, Bobby assumed that he was contacting Ororo over some electronic device. His eyes noticed for the first time what Forge was holding. The cannon made Bobby's eyebrows raise slightly, but he knew Forge was probably fixing it or something. Besides, if Bobby had a cannon, he'd be holding it like it was that precious as well.
He looked down again at Hannah. She was staring at her hand, and as Bobby watched her curiously, the bruises in her hand began to disappear. His eyes widened in surprise--He'd thought that phasing was when someone could disappear and pop up somewhere else...He hadn't known they could change themselves like that.
Shaking his surprise off, he spoke to Hannah. "Hannah, this is Forge," he introduced.
“ATTENTION… ALL X-MEN PLEASE REPORT TO THE MEDICAL LABORATORY IMMEDIATELY. REPEAT: ALL X-MEN TO THE MEDICAL LAB IMMEDIATELY.”
Bobby started when the announcement began over the speakers, his gaze automatically directing to the ceiling. He listened carefully to what it said, and when it finished, he looked to Forge with a grin. "Thanks," he said gratefully.
He wasn't sure if everyone needed to come to make sure that Hannah was okay, but suddenly her remembered what he'd been trying to find someone to talk about before he'd gone outside for the paper and found Hannah. The cure. And that was something that all the X-Men did need to talk about.
Bobby turned and walked to the door of the medical lab. "Did you see the news? About the cure?" he asked Forge as he walked quickly. He pressed the button to open the door and walked into the room.
