Jonothan stepped into the house, having left the others back at the helipad to sort out the aftermath. He wasn't interesting in talking over what he had seen.
The X-Men had worked in the least organized way he'd ever seen. The impact of losing Xavier was obvious. As he walked up the stairs towards his room, he thought about what might be done.
Storm was no strategist. He loved her as a sister, but she was better playing beta, whether she liked it or not. Perhaps he could convince her to run the school and let the X-Men fall into someone else's hands.
But whose. Chamber didn't know anyone anymore, it seemed. Everyone was gone. He took a few minutes to change out of his clothes, they still reaked of plant juices and blood. He sighed, pulling a tshirt over his head and walking back out into the hallway.
It had been a few years since he'd caught up on the news. Sitting down in the rec room, he turned on the TV, and listened to the reports about what had just gone down in Baltimore.
