Emotionally turbulent, which was now becoming his most general state of being, Logan strode through the metallic halls of the X-Men lair. He did note however that there was some definite filter on it, this time. Apparently, you can only have the same woman brought back to life once and have it emotionally cripple you. Now he was just sort of confused. He loved her... but not with the fury he had before. Now it was more the way it probably should've been from day one. He felt like she was very close, very dear, but not like he wanted to jump her bones... it was very comfortable... and yet, remarkably uncomforting too.
All he really wanted now was to find out just what in the hell was going on. Who was she? She had to have been Jean... probably another incarnation of the Phoenix. After all... what does a Phoenix do when you kill it?
So he went into the hangar bay, which Forge had turned into some sort of mechanics lab. Technology covered the place, cables running along the floor, linked to computers and machinery... tools and equipment of all kinds were strewn about.
And there at the center was some sort of work station, complete with three monitors and several computer boxes. At that station, Rayen and Forge seemed locked in some sort of incredibly nerdy discussion.
Logan walked up, looking between the two with the characteristically furrowing of the brow. He waited for them to notice him before saying anything.

Rayen looked up from their discussion of wiring and smiled a bit- it was almost a smirk.
"Hey. What's up." It was as if she was seeing him with new eyes. He just wasn't as... magical as before.
Particularly not when he frowned as if they were annoying him by being here.

That's it? A smirk? He did the equivalent of a mental sigh, and chocked it up to her not wanting to annoy the brother for now. It was probably for the better.
“Hey yourself. The meeting was pretty much a no-go... though I'm almost dead certain she's Jean.” He said.
Forge looked at him for a moment, and cocked his head. “Jean Grey?”
Logan nodded.
A frown spread over Forge's face as he considered the possibilities. That was most bad news, if it really was Jean Grey come back... could definitely spell bad news. “Aichey-maichey, that's not good.”
Logan nodded again. “Yep. Not good at all. But we got some DNA.” He said, holding up a ziplock bag with some hair and scrapings in it. “I was hoping you could check it out for us.”
Forge arched a brow, and traded a look with Rayen. “Ooookay. I don't wanna know how you got her DNA, but sure. I'll have to go to the Med Lab – it could take a while. It normally takes weeks..”
“But you're not normal, are ya?” Logan said, the first thing that resembled a compliment towards the Cheyenne technosmith that had ever come from his mouth.
“Uhhh... yeah. Well, we'll see. Give me a sec.” And Forge sort of blanked out, sending his will through the computer system.
Logan took the opportunity to look up at and give Rayen a warm smile.

Rayen responded with a pleasant smile, but it was missing the enamoured-slash-suggestive quality of the smile he'd seen that morning.
She turned back to the plans, blushing. He certainly was gorgeous. But he was -bad- for her, and she couldn't just go bedding every good looking guy in the mansion.
DNA huh. Of that woman... she still wasn't sure who it was. An old friend, fallen X-Man. Or X-Woman, she supposed.
Schematics. She picked up her pencil and forced herself to keep sketching the diagram instead of looking at Logan.

Logan narrowed his eyes. He was many things, with many flaws, but one of them wasn't unperceptive. Something was weird... something different.
He walked around the tech-covered table, getting a better look at what she was doing... only, he really didn't care. He wanted to look at her.
“Hey. You okay, Ray?”
Dammit. Why did that sound like a stupid rhyme?

She smiled a bit, with an effort. Gah. How to get out of this one.
Rayen nodded a little stiffly. "I'm fine." Looking up at him, feeling bad, she sighed a bit. Watching her brother spaced out on programming, she looked up at Logan yet again.
"Um... yah." she chuckled. "Sorry. Did you want to leave that stuff here for him?" She made no move to get up.

Logan stared at her for a moment, saying nothing. Just what the hell was this now? It served to anger him a bit more, compiling into the other emotions that had been boiling up in his head. This... it was too much for the moment. He was getting dangerously close to overloading – and that was generally bad news. He really did have an anger issue.
So he breathed out slowly, and nodded.
“Yeah. I think I will just leave em' here. Tell egghead to keep me in touch.” He said, tossing the little baggy on the table top, and leaving the room. He considered once more to stop and try to get some answers... but this really wasn't the best time. So there he went, right out the door.
