Re-doing And Recruiting

Katie here. Read my post in the 'Retirement' thread before reading this; it'll just make more sense.

So I know I asked for your opinions on what to do about the board - as a player, not as an admin - I'm not doing anything without Anna's input, of course. But as a player, I got ahead of myself and too antsy to wait. So still reply to that, or reply here, whatever - just let me know. But I'm going through the character lists and seeing who needs put back on the 'available' lists.

If you want, Kay, I can re-vamp the lists, or you can go in and edit. You took on a big job in offering to do all that stuff, and are doing a fantastico job, but if you ever get sick of it just let me know. Since we're paying you crappy wages for it, aka, nothing ;D

A few points, though - well, a few people, actually. I'm going to email Anna about a couple questions I have. But if anybody else wants to drop characters, please say so here. If I get replies to the Retirement thread or this one with people saying that they'll pitch in with the recruiting, then I'll start doing some heavy recruiting as well. I just can't do it all on my own.

Alright, I moved some more retired applications to the archives, hope that's okay with everyone.

But I was just thinking: It's important that we know how characters left. For some of them anyway. For instance, Deadpool wasn't directly interacting with anyone on a long-term basis but Mercy, and I'm fine with just saying they parted ways and still keep in contact at times. I'm considering whether or not to keep Mercy, the only reason for wanting to keep her being the fun with her brother Sins that could be had - but they aren't exactly tied down to anyone else. We ought to think about possibilities for them, Dave.

But I'm getting off-track. For instance, Forge, Angel, etc. Can you just tell us where they went off to? And don't make it too permanent; we may be getting someone to rp them later.

Nightcrawler and Skin shouldn't be relisted, as Rob is still on LOA while he sorts out his moving things. He made us aware of that, and it hasn't come to the dates he gave us yet when he was going to be back.

I'll get in contact with Cass and see when she is going to be back. She got Dengue Fever while she was overseas and has been quite sick, so it may be a little while yet. Likewise, should we go through the member list and get in contact with everyone who is missing?

I think maybe the first thing to do is to take stock of which characters are still being played, who is still going to be sticking around, who is leaving, and then revamp the lists. I am more than happy to do that.

It might be easiest with characters like Forge and Angel to just say that they're still going about their business in the X-Mansion so that if anyone wants to pick them up it will be an easy transition. How do we feel about retconning relationships between characters if the new players don't want to work it that way? I have a suggestion for all the relisted characters if we don't want to retcon some history - I personally would be happy to write up a summary of my past characters' activities and relationships so that people will have an easier time of picking them up.

Anyway, I'm at work so I need to get going. I probably have a few more suggestions but here's a start, anyway.

And...Dengue Fever? That sounds awful! Is she okay? Beast is held until she comes back, no questions. I'm going to go look Dengue Fever up because I have no idea what that entails.

As far as the Sombra thing...are we still doing it? Forge we can say is still around, Angel we can say is still around but maybe requested not to go on this one? We can maybe have another X-Man go with Shadowcat and Iceman. Though...CK was going to play the government aspect of that as well. Unless someone else would like to...Maybe we should just say that Shadowcat, Angel, and Iceman went to Sombra and took care of it?

Then it comes to the Brotherhood side of things. Does the BH want to rp destroying the place, or say that they did that as well?

Hey, I'm keeping X-23 and Mercy for now, until I decide what to do with them. So don't take them off of the lists, please. Thanks!

I'm going to email CK about Forge - he's really important to Storm right now, and I'd like to keep him in the game even if we're writing for him here and there. But if anyone ever wants to join and play him, they may have a hard time, because CK's Forge is so different from canon. So that's confusing.
