Warren,

I didn't want to leave without saying goodbye. Some things have come up, and I think I need to go home and try to get my head on straight. Things just aren't turning out the way I had planned. Everything is so confused. I came here to be an X-Man, and I've failed myself. I can't really explain more. I don't know when or if I'll be coming back, but... I'll be in touch.

I'm going back home. I can't explain more right now, it wouldn't be right, and I can't wait until you come back to leave. I'll be taking the bus, Mama knows I'm coming. Take care of Lewis, Sammy. I love you and we'll talk soon.

Bobby,

I came here to be an X-Man. I got into training, I was feeling confident. Then I got sidetracked. I don't mean to make it sound like dating you ruined everything. I ruined everything. I've completely lost focus, and I've made some mistakes I can't just erase and forget ever happened.

I want you to know that I really do care about you. And I felt it there too, in the car. I'm just as attracted to you as I ever was. I just don't think I'm what you're looking for and I can't change for anyone. I already started to, and look where it's gotten me.

I'm going home. I need to focus and figure out what the hell is going on in my life. I have to make some hard choices. I just didn't want you to find out I was gone and think it had to do with last night. It isn't really fair of me to ask you to keep my X-Men suit around.. but I'm not ready to tell you to get rid of it just yet. I might be back.

She left each note in its envelope, stuck into the crack of the doorway to each room. Her three guys, the ones she cared about most. Only one she was likely to ever seen again.

Because while she said it, Paige had no intentions of coming back. Pulling her bag over her shoulder, she set down the stairs on her way to the cab.

As her feet his the landing, she say a familiar curtain of blonde hair. Alison.

Something in Paige's stomach twisted so hard she almost got sick. Wincing, she tried very hard not to make a face as Alison noticed her standing there.

So Warren brought her back to the school... Paige knew in her heart exactly where she'd stayed. It really wasn't Paige's place to be jealous. But she was.

"Hey Alison," Paige said, waving a little and turning back towards the door, letting the actress keep the impression that Paige was just going out for a moment.

"Paige!" Alison's smile was one, surprisingly enough, of some relief as she turned and caught sight of the familiar face. Apparently, despite her fame, she wasn't of the opinion that she owned whatever place she went into. In fact, what little ego she may have had had been doused by the happenings at the premiere.

Too bad ego wasn't the only thing that fame could easily do to you. Already since arriving, Alison had found herself wanting to complain about a truckload of things. She'd kept them mostly to herself, but they'd nagged at her. The bed was smaller than she was used to, the sheets were nowhere near the softness of the satin sheets on her bed at home. The pillow was cheap. The bathroom was old, and though everything worked, it was small and...well...while it wasn't bad, it wasn't good.

"Hey!" she said, coming to a stop near Paige. She saw that Paige was turning away, to go out the front door, and though she felt slightly selfish (and slightly needy) for prolonging their conversation, she spoke again. "Going out already?" she asked with a smile. She hadn't exactly felt like Paige wanted to be friends - and after last night, who knew what Paige thought of her. She could think Alison was using her mutantcy for a publicity stunt. She could think she was lying about being a mutant. She could think she'd really hurt Eric Beale. And none of those things would make her particularly inclined to have a friendly conversation with her. But Alison tried, nonetheless. After all, she only knew two other faces in the entire place, and she didn't know where to find them.

Paige forced a smile. It wasn't that she had any particular dislike for the woman, but given the circumstances, a chat in the doorway wasn't really a great idea.

"Hey..." she looked outside. "I was just on my way out." She gestured to the cab, hoping from Alison's position she could see it through the windows to either side of the door.

"Good to see you're alright. Not too much fallout from last night I hope." The tension in Paige's frame could not possibly be ignored, and she hoped Alison didn't take it personally. Truthfully, Paige would have liked a chance to find out if Alison truly was the creep she made herself out to be with her actions the night before. She preferred to give people the benefit of the doubt. But she wasn't going to get that chance, and Paige silently reminded herself that it didn't matter anymore anyway.

Warren and Bobby could take care of themselves.

"Oh," Alison said, glancing out the window and seeing a cab sitting out in front of the school. She was mildly curious as to where Paige was going, but Paige didn't seem to be in a chatty mood - at least not a chat-with-Alison-Blaire mood - so she didn't ask.

"Okay. Well, uh - see you later, then." She gave a small, close-lipped smile, and nodded to Paige as she started to turn away, to go back to her search of the kitchen.

Paige felt a little bad for the obviously awkward feeling Alison. Not bad enough to stay and chat, but Paige wasn't so bad that she'd let that sort of negativity linger.

"I... I'm glad you're here. You'll be safe here." Her eyes lingers on Alison for a moment.

"See you."

Not waiting much longer- as she wasn't sure how much longer she could stand talking to Warren's new girlfriend in the mood she was in- Paige shut the door behind her and nearly ran to the cab.

She was down the street a few minutes later, her eyes closed to avoid tears. Trying not to think about it, Paige promised herself she wouldn't cry until she was all the way back in Kentucky.

"Bye," she whispered to no one in particular.
