Forge was rolling away from Kurt's room, having left a special present for the man on his dresser. The gift, though wrapped, was a personal lap-top, with a keyboard that folded out to roughly 50% bigger than an ordinary one. It was all metal, though lightweight, and created using the gear in the shop. The keys on it were twice as large as ordinary keys – especially designed for Kurt's fingers.
Forge had given this particular gift thought after wanting to email something to the blue guy, but realizing that he'd never be able to check his email or use a computer in general. At least, if he did, it must have been inordinately difficult. Maybe he used a pencil to type. Who knew?
He left a letter for him in an envelope marked “Nightcrawler” on the top of the machine. It read:
Kurt,
Thought I'd give you the gift that keeps on giving... access to the world wide web! I hope you don't mind me doing this for you, but I figured that, had you never done so before, it was time to get you hip to the new ways of the world. If you do already use computers, then this one should make it a lot easier. If you don't, then let me know and I'll show you how to navigate them like a pro!
On a more serious note... I figured there was something I should tell you, but I didn't want the others to know. Madelyne Pryor is genetically identical to Jean Gray. I sent the DNA off to Moira McTaggart to be analyzed, and she emailed me the results.
What you do with this information is yours, but know that only you and I know. I figured it'd be best if it was handled smoothly, and from what you told me, Logan and Jono weren't the most smooth negotiators. I do think it should be addressed, however, as this means she's either Jean Gray or her genetic twin... or more unlikely, even highly improbable, her clone.
Okay, enough writing the old fashioned way. Get online, I can email you that way without lifting a finger!
