Lewis walked down the hallway as quickly as he could while still reading the numbers on the doors. He was pulling on the band of the slingshot he'd made that morning - the stones he'd collected for it were in a pouch he held in his little hand.
He finally got to Sam's number, and he suddenly got an idea. Stopping in the middle of the hallway, Lewis opened the pouch and pulled out a smooth, round stone. He put it in the slingshot, aimed carefully, and fired - and the rock catapulted at his brother's door. Why knock when you could use a slingshot?
Lewis' laughter could probably be heard from inside as he walked forward and bent to collect the stone. "Sammy Z! You ain't sleepin', are yah? All this time offa the farm must be makin' yah into some kinda soft city boy, sleepin' in 'till noon."
