As Forge was interrogating Maggott, and when Bobby called, Candice had just finished addressing the rest of the school. She'd essentially put them all in the primary downstairs rec-room, and addressed them from the stairs.
She explained that yes, Bobby Drake had been arrested for something associated with the X-Men, but that he was innocent and would be returning home. She also explained that there could be a problem outside, and that all students are to stay indoors for the rest of the night, and that they'd discuss what would happen with the school the following day (that being, whether it was safe to go out and what those conditions would be.)
For this night, though, it was pretty much a shut in.
Candice had the paperwork ready for Skin, if he wanted to join the school, and wanted to spend a bit more time dealing with him.
