(ooc: Sorry this took so long, I was waiting for Anna and Rob to get back. =) So for the sake of ease, I’m putting this meeting up in a very summarized format. The thread isn’t meant to last forever, and it needs to happen even though people are currently involved in threads. So, unless Becka really, really, really hates the idea of quasi-bubbling this meeting, I’m going to assume that it happened at SOME point in the fuzzy time we’re in. For the sake of ease, I’m also assuming EVERY X-Man and trainee is there (that’s currently in the mansion, or known, so excluding Logan and Cannonball and Iceman), and they added Sunfire and Domino into the meeting as well.)
The meeting was basically to draw attention to a few things. One, Logan has left. He felt the over drawing urge to run off after Sabertooth, and chase the demons of his past. What this means is that the full-on training will be done by a combination of Sunfire, who teaches discipline, meditation, and martial arts – and Bishop, who teaches teamwork strategy, battle tactics, and battlefield awareness.
Old X-Men and trainees can benefit from the training, though as soon as Iceman gets back, the trainees themselves will fall under his general leadership. He’ll be responsible for organizing their training, etc. We’re still working with the two-man training teams, though Maggott will now have to be taught by someone else. That’s in the works right now.
Additionally, Forge notes that they need to get to work on the Sombra Corp. The evil organization that is responsible for Hannah’s upbringing, and using mutants as weapons from the time they are children. He’s in the developmental stages of a strategy now, and is currently merely waiting on the Philadelphia’s requests for the blueprints of the building. It shouldn’t take more than a week. As the mansion has been under some serious stress over the past few weeks, the X-Men hadn’t had the time to deal with it until now.
Forge also reinforces that he’ll be there to offer training in the Danger Room, since he can control the holograms “in real time” – changing them to offer constant, intelligent challenge.
Everyone is blanketed in a general round of introductions, at least enough where they’ve seen each other and know each other by name.
Forge says that he’s working on a series of problems from around the world involving mutants or the unknown, and the idea of developing smaller teams within the X-Men to tackle various problems like that on case by case basis is discussed.
It’s also brought to everyone’s attention that a new Blackbird is under construction, and that Xavier’s contacts at Lockheed are still malleable to the idea. Forge and Conduit will be working on the bird at a secure location elsewhere. So they may be periodically gone for a bit.
The meeting is open for questions.
(ooc – again, this thread could run FOREVER with this many characters involved. Bring up anything you want everyone to know, though, but I’d say we should have this thread closed in a few days.)
