Kurt turned as the door opened, watching as Ororo and Forge walked back in. He smiled and took Ororo's hand in one of his own, stepping forward so he could speak quietly. "Die studenten - they are fine, Ororo. Some of the younger ones were frightened, but they've been calmed down. Many are already asleep again." He gave a small chuckle. "Unfortunately, some of us are not so lucky. Liam was moving down the halls; Cal and Rayen are already out and about, I think."
His smile faded slightly as she mentioned calling the team together, and his tail curled behind him anxiously. "Let me know who you need me to tell, Göttin."

"Thank you." Ororo squeezed Kurt's three-fingered hand and took another deep breath.
"Forge will send out another announcement to all of the X-Men. This may be more of an emergency than I realized." She smiled a little at him. "But take half an hour, I don't want to wake everyone back up yet. And I want to talk to Hannah." She looked towards the little girl guiltily.

Kurt started slightly at the thought of another anouncement over the intercom; however, if it was an emergency, the students would just have to deal wtih it. He chuckled and shifted to one side, releasing Ororo's smaller hand and moving towards Hannah again. "This absolutely charming young yogurt-scoffer? She needs sleep, just like me. Except she'll be able to sleep, and I'll be in a meeting."

"A yogurt-scoffer?" Ororo finally turned her attention properly to the little girl. She smiled at Bobby and patted his shoulder, and then crouched down in front of Hannah, looking respectful. "Hi, Hannah, I'm so sorry I didn't introduce myself properly before. My name is Miss Munroe." She held out a slim dark hand to shake.

Phase took a step back from Storm, reaching for Bobby's hand. She considered the woman carefully, and after a few seconds reached out her other hand to shake, only when she grabbed ahold of Storm's hand it was from the top, making the gesture awkward, if cute.
"Your emergy is very noisy Miss Mon-roe." She nodded factually, her tone that of a child warning another child not to do something bad.

"Kitties are the best animals. Dogs are gross."
Bobby didn't like cats. At all. Except his. And some others. If they were nice, then he liked them. "Dogs are fun. Cats are pis--" Bobby stopped in mid-word, glancing at the back of Hannah's head. Was 'pissy' too much to say in front of a kid? Hmm. Better clean it up just in case.
"...mean. Except mine. You've never met my cat, have you?" He started to smile at the thought of his loveable cat. "He's the best. His name is Mr. Chuckles."
Kurt bamfed in, and Bobby started to tell him Ororo has stepped outside when she stepped back in. Bobby fell quiet as Ororo talked to him, and then turned her attention to Hannah.
When Bobby saw Hannah reach out to him, he held out his hand and took hers--very, very gently. This little girl was quickly becoming attached to him, and she was quickly melting his heart.

Storm shook the little girl's hand gravely, pretending that she had done it exactly the grown-up way. "It's very nice to meet you. Welcome to Xavier's School."
The little girl's words made her take note. A form of telepathy, Storm thought. Out loud, she said "I hope it didn't disturb you too much. Do you feel everyone's energy?" She needed to know more about this little girl in order to help her, but she didn't want to attack her with too many questions at once.

Hannah nodded vigorously, eased a bit by Storm's friendly demeanor.
"I feel everybody's. 'Less they don't want me to, then it's harder. But see what I can do?" Her tone was exactly that of a proud little girl at show and tell.
She pointed at Kitty. "She's kind of bored, an confuseded, and something hurts." Then at Bobby. "He's feeling love, maybe for doggies, even though she-" pointing at Kitty "Said she doesn't like them."
Then she looked at Storm. "And you're not very happy, but you're blotting it."

Storm looked impressed. "You have a wonderful talent, Hannah. Is there anything else unusual you can do?
"And what about how YOU are feeling?" Ororo smiled. "Can you tell me that?"

"I can go- whoosh- and be somewhere else, but my body stays here?" She said with a lilt in her voice that indicated she wasn't sure how to describe it.
"Oh! And I can see other places too, if I want." She nods.

Forge couldn’t help but smile around his donut at the abundant cuteness that was Hannah. She seemed so adorable, so innocent. It seemed as if she were raised in an environment without negativity… and thinking about it, if he were to raise mutant super-kids, he’d make sure they were in the happiest environment possible. His smile faltered…
While Storm dealt with the issues at hand, he thought he’d take a bit to finish the communicators. Pulling out a canvas pouch from his satchel, he laid ten small steel X tabs onto a nearby table, and looked at them. They were, for all intensive purposes, very similar the comm. badges in Star Trek.
Running his hand a few inches over the badges, he closed his eyes and concentrated. A few of them moved around a bit as their insides were being soldered and manipulated.

Kurt chuckled behind his hand as Hannah greeted Ororo, her voice filled with such seriousness. His eyes darted from face to face, watching their expressions as the conversation took root, and his mind filed Hannah's powers away for when he'd need that information.
Smiling, he stepped back quietly, watching as Ororo coaxed more information out of the young girl. She'll be fine without you here, he thought to himself. She is the headmistress, after all, and she has Bobby and Forge to help.
With a quiet bamf! he was gone.

Storm nodded, taking in Hannah's words quietly, but inwardly she was paying surprised attention to the little girl.
Clairvoyance. And... projection of some sort. So impressive in one so young... And no doubt tiring. ...Ahhh.
There was so much to know about the tiny stranger, but Ororo didn't want to be intimidating, particularly after her rather violent display a few minutes earlier. Still, her strong maternal instincts were kicking in, and she was really concerned about the girl's well-being. Where had she come from? Was she ill in ways Storm could not see?
She chose her words carefully, and spoke quietly. Luckily Forge was distracted and the sound of a bamf! had reached her ears, so there wasn't too big an audience.
"I hear you weren't feeling too well, Hannah. And I'm a nurse, and I need to know if there is anything wrong so that I can help you. Can you tell me?"

Hannah tapped her chest again. "My lungs hurt like I got a cold." She coughed softly mostly just to show the wheezing rattled that accompanied them.
"And I'm always tired now cause my training makes me that way. But Doctor Bill says there's nothing he can do about that. So my elboweds hurt and my knees, and the bones in my feenders." She made a spidery motion with her hand, bending her fingers. The palm of one hand was still badly bruised.
"I'm always kinda sore now. Didn't used to be that way but I go places all the time now. Last week they had me go to this place almost all day until I couldn't go anymore and I had to come back to my body? But I couldn't remember when it happened cause I wasn't awake when I got back. And Doctor Bill said I was asleep for a few days. That was kinda scary." She nodded, very calm about the whole thing. It just doesn't seem to have occurred to her not to trust the adults in her world.

Storm listened carefully and nodded. The girl was clearly used to doctors, so Storm hoped she would not mind if she was looked over.
"All right, I'm just going to check how you're doing, Hannah. I won't hurt you, ok?"
Her dark fingers reached up to feel the little girl's forehead, and then began to travel gently over her body. She felt Hannah's various joints, lowered her head near the girl's mouth to hear her breath, felt her pulse and with the other hand checked to see that all the fingers in the bruised hand were working. She was finished in a minute and smiled. Nothing was too wrong, although the girl clearly had been through a lot.
"Now, here's what I want you to do, ok? Listen carefully.
"I want you to do nothing." Ororo smiled again, and looked up at the nearby Kitty. "Go with Bobby and Kitty, and she'll give you a place to rest. Get some sleep and when you wake up, they'll bring you something to do so you can just stay comfortably where you are. For a little while you shouldn't run around, or use this hand, and you especially shouldn't 'go places,' ok?" She looked Hannah in the eye seriously. "And I or another adult will come check on you sometimes and make sure you're doing ok."
She straightened up and put a hand on Bobby's shoulder, and glanced at Kitty again, even more seriousness in her eyes. "Today is going to be a very busy day, you two, and I am going to need you again for a meeting soon. But you have been so good with her already... I hope this is all right."

Phase listened closely, an innocent sort of trust on her face as Storm took on the doctor's role. She watched it all with interest, looking down at her body as Ororo poked and pressed and listened. Nothing seemed to hurt too much during the process.
She nodded obediently as Storm used the Mommy Voice, and took Bobby's hand again as instructions were given.
"I'll be good!" She almost shouted at Storm. "I won't go anywhere I promise!"

Noting the business was done with Storm, Forge turned to her, hand outstretched. In it was a blue-silver pin, perfectly matching all of the other technology the X-men employ, slightly bigger than a quarter. (my apologies to the non-American readers)
“There ya go, boss. They’re all tuned in to one another, and voice activated. They pin on the collar, or anywhere really, near the head, and have a detachable ear-piece. As is, the communication will be heard out loud by anyone nearby, but with the ear plug only you will hear it. It’s more efficient to go without the piece, but not when in a situation requiring stealth, obviously. There are ten of these bad boys… To use it, tap it once. Space a second, tap it again to shut it off. Tap it twice to keep it always on, so it’s always broadcasting what it hears. To talk to everyone who has one, tap it and say ‘X-Men’. To talk to someone specific, use their call sign. ‘Iceman’ or ‘Forge’, etc. You’ll get a small chirp to alert you someone wanting to talk to you, and has some memory, so it can play back in emergency situations. The chirp can be silenced.”
Forge spoke all of this proudly, smiling the whole while. It was completely clear where his passion laid, and how fervent he was about his inventions. And yes, it was remarkably fast how he quickly assembled them.

Ms. Munroe checked Hannah over, but nothing really seemed to be wrong, for which Kitty was grateful. If she really was just sore from her power, that would go away soon, wouldn't it? Kitty's headaches had (once she'd actually started phasing), in the early days when they still came. Maybe she'd tell Hannah about those, since they hadn't come back. It'd be reassuring.
Then Ms. Munroe looked up at her, obviously about to give her the Here, I Have A Responsibility For You talk.
"I want you to do nothing. Go with Bobby and Kitty, and she'll give you a place to rest. Get some sleep and when you wake up, they'll bring you something to do so you can just stay comfortably where you are. For a little while you shouldn't run around, or use this hand, and you especially shouldn't 'go places,' ok? And I or another adult will come check on you sometimes and make sure you're doing ok."
Kitty tugged nervously on the bottom of her shorts again, but she smiled brightly at Hannah. She'd dig up a coloring book or something. It'd be fun!
"Today is going to be a very busy day, you two, and I am going to need you again for a meeting soon. But you have been so good with her already... I hope this is all right."
"It's fine," Kitty said, even as ominous music surrounding "A Meeting" played in her head. "Right, Bobby?"
Hannah took his hand and they left the lab, Kitty half-turning around to look at Hannah when she spoke. "We're going to have to take the elevator up," she said. "Bobby probably took you down it already. My room's on the second floor - that's where you'll be staying for now, okay?"

As Ororo told Hannah to go with Bobby and Kitty, at the same time telling Bobby and Kitty to watch her (which Bobby was more than happy to do), Bobby nodded.
"Today is going to be a very busy day, you two, and I am going to need you again for a meeting soon. But you have been so good with her already... I hope this is all right."
"It's fine. Right, Bobby?"
Bobby smiled. "It's more than fun. We'll go crazy, right Hannah?" He grinned down at her. He looked back to Ororo, shifty eyes glancing aside and then back at her. "In a very low-key, non-trouble-making way," he added. He had no plans of making trouble or being crazy, that was obvious. Just kidding around.
As Kitty started to talk to Hannah as they started to leave the lab, Bobby paused. "Should we get those now?" he asked Forge, gesturing to the little communicators. He'd been eyeing them since Forge had pulled them out, and thought it was severely awesome. "That's really awesome, by the way."
