Hannah took Kitty's hand too, and bounced up and down with both of them. As Kitty kept going and Bobby stopped, her little arms stretched until she squeaked, letting to of Bobby's hand.
"HAY! You broke the train!"

Kitty pulled when Hannah took her , but met with resistance. Though she slackened her grip almost immediately - she didn't want to pull Hannah's arm off or anything, or get her own pulled off if she happened to have super-strength in there somewhere - Hannah still dropped her hand.
"HAY! You broke the train!"
"Bob-byyy," Kitty said impatiently.
"Should we get those now? That's really awesome, by the way."
"Can't we play Star Trek later?" Kitty asked. (Unlike Bobby, she had about zero appreciation for advanced technological... thingies.)

Bobby looked back to Hannah and Kitty, who were both giving him impatient looks. He sighed exagerratedly, casting Forge a forlorn look. "I guess we'll get them later..." he said heavily, turning back to the girls. As he went through the door, he cast Forge a feigned look of torture.
But as soon as he was out the door, he switched gears. He tapped Hannah on the head. "Hey, you want a piggy-back ride?" he offered.

Hannah looked up at him, wide eyed, a smile on her face. "What's that! Do you oink?!" She bounced on her toes, snorting like a pig over and over.
That made her cough, but she giggled through her breathlessness, happy just to be around people who didn't hide their emotions from her.
And she could feel their joy around her. That was definitely new. Only Miss Jenny had ever felt like that. Maybe she was right about this place.

Bobby tossed his head back and laughed at Hannah's animal noises. "No!" he said through his laughter. "It's like how I carried you before, except you're on my back. Here..."
He crouched down in the hallway. "Just put your arms around my neck and hold your wrists."

Hannah put her arms around him as instructed, and leaned on his back, resting her head to one side. It made her giggle, and she touched his face with her hands, being silly. Then she held onto her own wrists and waiting for the next step.
"It's like Koala bears do!"

Bobby reached back behind him and put his hands on the backs of her knees. "Hold on tight!" he warned before pulling her legs out from under her. He stood, pulling her legs on either side of him and holding them securely.
From there, he set off at a gallop down the hall. "Last one to the elevator has to scrub dishes tonight!!" He called out to Kitty in joking fun.

(If it would help speed up the meeting, we can assume Phase goes down for a nap in Kitty's bed. I know you guys have stuff to do!)

(That definitely works for me. I can barely find time to poke through the gargantuan plot in the OOC forums here, much less write anything coherent.)

Storm smiled at Kitty and Bobby. They were so responsible and Hannah seemed already to be attached to them.
Forge caught her attention, though, and held out a shiny little X medallion. She took it from his outstretched hand and turned it over, examining it as he spoke. She was seriously impressed.
She wanted to make sure she understood just how it worked. "If you have to tap it to turn it off, why the setting for tapping twice to keep it on? Does it have an automatic shut-off after a certain length of time, in case you forget to tap it off?"
She tested the pin with her dark fingers, and examined the device for any sign of weakness. It was seamless.
She looked up at him and smiled, authentically for the first time since their argument. "Forge, this is amazing. You are very talented."
Amused, Storm shook her head at Bobby when he mentioned wanting to take his communicator now. "Soon, Iceman." She watched them leave with Hannah, and turned back to Forge.
"May I hang onto mine? I have some things to do in my office, but we should meet in half an hour. I would also like to try this out with you, if you don't mind." She held the communicator up and looked pleased.
Storm left the lab feeling better than she had when she came down, but NovaTeX was an alarm ringing in her mind. It was time to sort things out.
