Two hours after parting with Pyro and the new recruits in the hotel, Mystique and Aurora set off in their newly-rented car for their first destination. Aurora sat in the passenger seat, as they'd decided to switch drivers throughout their 'trip' - their cover was simple: sight-seeing.
"If I never speak German again in my life, it'll be too soon," Aurora said as she leaned back in her seat, setting the map between their seats. She stretched her legs out as much as they could stretch and clasped her hands in her lap. "God, but those guys were gorgeous, weren't they? It's about time we got some good-looking guys on board."
She shot a look sideways at Mystique. "I mean, no offense. John's...cool and everything. Not ugly either." She smiled faintly as she settled her head back against the headrest again. "But that one...What's his name? Do you know? The moody-looking guy." 'The one that would look absolutely flawless in the nude...'

Mystique smiled vaguely at her comments about John. What she didn't see in the boy was entirely okay with her. Underestimating him was the best thing that could happen.
"I believe that was Impact," she said. "As the woman was Recluse, and the man behind him was Avalanche, from the files Pyro produced on them. The other man was too wiry to have the powers Pyro related on Impact. And he -was- good looking... that he was."
She looked sidelong at her. "I've never heard you talk about a guy before. I suppose Juggernaut's not exactly your taste either." She smirked.

Aurora rolled the name around in her mouth. "Impact, huh?" she said, looking ahead out the window with a smirk on her face.
"None of the men other than Pyro are near attractive," Aurora said honestly. "And I don't mean 'normal-looking'--you've proven exotic is more attractive than anything plain Jane--" Aurora pictured Jane, in all of her green glory. The irony of the phrase struck her, and she laughed softly to herself
"But walking corpses and living steamrollers are not my cup of tea, no. But this Impact...What's his power?"

"His given name is Lucas James. He has some sort of power similar to Juggernaut's but not quite the same. Apparently he destroys things with his fists." She hadn't quite been able to figure out his power based on what Pyro had told her- it had been secondhand from Avalanche who only new based on rumor. Mystique was interested to see more of it.

His power sounded impressive. Of course, it was probably aided by the fact that he had the kind of body any male should ever want.
"Hmm..." she said, her train of thought running down the line until she arrived at a destination she chose to voice. "I wonder if I'm a good kisser..." she contemplated aloud, her eyes on the sky and her head tilted to the side.
She turned her head at looked at Mystique. "Not many boys at an all-girl cult school," she added wryly.

Mystique chuckled. "You're -really- taken with him, aren't you. Well... wouldn't be the first time someone fell in love at first sight." She nodded.
"That's right, you haven't been around very long have you. Do you recall -ever- kissing -anyone-?"

Aurora smiled, somewhere between a smirk and a girlish grin of a schoolgirl. It fit her, somehow. "I don't know about love..." She protested through that smile. "He's just hot. And built." Somehow she wasn't extremely convincing in her protesting.
"That's right, you haven't been around very long have you. Do you recall -ever- kissing -anyone-?"
"I seriously doubt it. She's only ever been around monks, right? And she's far too prude to even think of men in a romantic sense," Aurora replied, referring to Jeanne-Marie. "God, I've got some serious catching up to do, don't I?" She felt a bit robbed having been tucked away all those years. She'd never dated, never kissed--let alone had sex.
"How does one even learn how to kiss?" She sounded a bit at a loss.

Mystique smirked. Were they honestly having this conversation?
"You just do it. There's technique, sure, but it's not like learning another language." Though she'd met some tremendously bad kissers, their were generally reasons for that. Lack of empathy and the like.
"You're aware of sex and how it works, right. Or did she not learn any of that?" The Catholic church being what it was, she wouldn't been surprised if Jeanne-Marie had been told touching a boy would get her pregnant. That's how it used to work, anyway.

Aurora's eyes narrowed in thought as she searched through her mind for the information. Anything she'd learned as Jeanne-Marie (which was most of it) wasn't as easy to remember, unless it was common knowledge or fresh on her mind.
"No sex until marraige..." she said, going through the facts like a catalog. "Hmm. Seems like when she was a teenager, they terrified her into thinking sex outside of marraige would cause all sorts of awful diseases and pregnancies...And then when she grew older, she just took it on personal belief. She was all set to be a nun anyway, so why bother?" The last comment was clearly Aurora's own commentary.
"But, uh...As far as sex itself...I guess I know the technical, health-class run-down...And the Bible version. But romance sure looks a lot better on TV and in books."

Mystique turned after the light went green, and got onto another freeway. "It can be. With the right person."
She hadn't really considered Aurora's inexperience on a variety of levels. It made her all the more pleased she had the button to the girl's collar hanging on a chain around her neck- next to the flash card that would grab information from Sombra's network once she was able to get into the building.

It came to mind, but she wasn't about to say anything so corny as 'is John the right person for you?' So she carefully worded it differently.
"So...You and Pyro. How serious are you guys?"

Mystique drove for quite a while before answering- perhaps long enough to give Aurora the idea that the question wasn’t one Mystique was willing to answer. And then she did, in her way, speaking in her smooth, quiet voice against the noise of the highway.
“Pyro and I. Well… it is what it is. People like us don’t have the luxuries others do. But for now, things are working out. That’s the best any of us can hope for.”
Aurora considered Mystique's answer carefully. What did she mean by 'people like us'? Being highly wanted by more than one nation's government? Yeah, that tended to slim down the realm of possibilities.
She'd always wondered what had gone on behind closed doors to make them get back together after their huge falling out. If Pyro had set her on fire, she'd never have looked back except to maybe send him some kind of bomb in a package. And she knew Mystique had twice that kind of attitude.
But it wasn't her business by any means, and she knew that Mystique must have had a good reason to have taken him back. And were she in Mystique's place, she probably wouldn't have wanted to say what that reason was.
Which was fine. Aurora was feeling her high spirits sink just slightly thinking about all this romance, and the lack of it in her own life. In the end, she didn't respond. She was content to just let the hum of the car as it moved down the road take over and drive in silence for a bit.
