Adam's house was small and cozy, just the way he wanted it. The phone was located on his nightstand, and when it woke him from his nap, he was thankful he didnt have to stumble around the room to answer.
"Hello?"
"Yes, of course I'll go. This is the opportunity I've been waiting for, thank you Erik!"
"Okay, so you're going to send me over a few days ahead? That makes sense."
"Yeah, alright. Thank you again, Erik. I won't let you down."
From what Erik told him, he was being sent up to Baltimore to participate in a protest against the cure. An eagerness was growing in his stomach as he thought about it. How would the other mutants receive him, having gained his abilities artificially? Hopefully they would look past that.
Over the past few days, Adam had been working hard to get control over his powers. It was an uphill battle most of the way, but he was confident that he wouldnt break out in hysterics unexpectedly. This protest rally would be a good chance to try out his powers on a group of people and maybe boost their morale. Oh, the possibilities that lay before him were tantalizing Adam's brain. He'd never be able to get back to sleep at this rate.

It was almost time to leave, and Adam was ready. He was wearing his traditional robes, and had packed a small travel bag with the essentials and a bible. Erik had called earlier, apologizing about how he couldn't see Adam off, but that he wished him luck, and had given the helicopter pilot something to pass on to him.
Strapping the bag across his shoulder and chest, Adam started walking to the launchpad. He had heard the helicopoter start up and knew that it was time to go now.
