Still feeling slightly alarmed by Pyro's reaction to the news, Angie wandered through the base in an attempt to find Aurora. She wasn't in the kitchen, obviously, because that was where Angie had just come from, so the young Australian headed to the first obvious place - Aurora's room.
Though she had a slight feeling that it should take longer and be a bit more of an adventure, Angie was glad to find the tall woman there. Most obvious place is the best, I guess. She tried not to think about where the most obvious place to find Pyro would be, but her cheeks warmed slightly anyway.
"Hey hey, I've been looking for you. We've got a job to do." Angie grinned.
Aurora, sitting on her bed and leaning against a pile of pillows at her headboard, looked up with a smile as Angie came in. She set down her notebook and pencil, and scooted herself to the edge of the bed, looking excited. "More fighting?"
Shaking her head, and wondering what she'd have done if there was more fighting, Angie stuck her hands in her pockets.
"Nothing like that. We've got to go meet with a new member in New York. Should only be a quick trip, I think, but Python thought we'd stand out less than everyone else."
"New York, huh? That should be fun. Where at in New York?" Aurora stood, turning her notebook back to the cover and smoothing out her sheets. "When do we set off?"
"I'm not sure where, Python knows all the details." Angie shrugged. "And we leave as soon as we're ready, I wanted to have a shower and get changed and stuff..." She'd gotten coffee on her jacket and she wanted to change into something lighter, anyway, since they were going back into summer.
"I told him we'd come looking for him, did you want to meet down at the plane in a an hour or two? Gives us plenty of time to get ourselves organised, but we're still leaving early." The younger mutant grinned. "Maybe, if we're early, we can go shopping."
The whole trip, especially the shopping, sounded more than alright to Aurora. She grinned and nodded, moving over to her small closet, where she'd hung her Goodwill clothes. "I'd love to get off this rock."
So it wasn't as exciting as throwing people through the air. It'd have to do.
Angie grinned and nodded. After a couple of weeks on Genosha, it had already gotten very boring. Obviously she wasn't the only one who had thought that.
"Yeah, I know what you're saying. Listen, I'm going to go get organised, but I'll meet you down there..." She checked her watch. "In an hour and a half?" It shouldn't take that long to shower and change, but there were a couple of emails she wanted to send, and she didn't want to be rushing. With a smile for Aurora, Angie headed down the hallway to her own room, kicking off her shoes and turning on her computer as she walked in.
She couldn't stop smiling - she was glad to be getting out and doing something to help - particularly because it was a non-violent contribution. Still, her pleasure made her sympathise with Pyro - it was going to be hard for him being stuck on Genosha until the 'most wanted' thing died down.
