Convincing Pryo that Deadpool meant no trouble on the island, only wanted to have a look around and get some food, hadn't been that hard. Of course, he'd been politely informed that he was basically under constant surveillance – which DP had already assumed – and that if he did anything astray of what the charismatic young leader expected, he'd be toasted – which, again, DP had assumed.
It was doubly cool that he got to keep his guns and blades, and still even more so that he was allowed to go out and get Mercy. After a bit, Deadpool sent William back to the mainland to wait, for if some violence were to escalate, he was sure he and Mercy would have a better chance of making it out without the manservant... to this William could only smile, which gave Wade a fascinating insight into the pride of the old man – and possibly the history.
After a non-disclosed, cinematically appropriate time (and cut scene,) Deadpool and Mercynary were walking through the stone halls toward the sound of the kitchen – and talking.
“So I only want to stay long enough to get a feel for the swords... besides, this is an important potential client for us. If you want to learn how to be a merc, you'll need to learn to shmooz a bit, to rub elbows with the potential big spenders. Also it's highly dangerous, and will keep you on your guard. Remember the feeling of awareness you'll feel in here, knowing how close to death you are.” He told his young protege. “Fear is a lot like a monkey. Sure, it throws shit at you occasionally, but ultimately you can beat the hell out of it with a small club.”
