((continued from Rude Awakening))
Somewhere along the way, Erik had discarded his formal business attire in favor of grey sweats and a water bottle. He had every intention of locking himself into his personalized training room until he managed to make real, tangible progress. On his way there, he thought he heard laughter, but remembered that Adam was probably still around. Smiling to himself, Erik continued on his way.
Once he had shut the door behind him, he inhaled deeply. The smell of clean metal was faint, but there. It was nostalgic. Erik set his waterbottle down on the table and looked around the room. Several objects of metal were scattered around, all in various shapes and sizes.
For a warm up exercise, began rolling several marble sized spheres around, first along the floor, then up the walls, and finally through the air. Within the hour, Erik was playing marbles in mid-air.

Several hours had passed and Erik was currently sprawled back on the bench. His water bottle was almost empty, and the man looked physically drained. The room, too, looked like it had been given a thorough work out. Every object in the room had be moved to a new location, several pieces of metal were even sticking to the walls and ceiling. Erik had been rediscovering his abilitiy to charge metal with positive energy.
On the wall across from him, an intricate design had been lightly embossed into the metal, creating an image of some parrot indigenous to Guyana. Erik was exhausted, but his powers were coming back. He knew that a time would come when he could once again lift bridges in the air and not break a sweat. He just had to take one step at a time. The man reclined for a moment, admiring his work and catching his breath at the same time. He was healthy for a man his age, but certainly not used to such heavy exhertion.

After he regained his composure, Erik gathered his things and walked out. By the time he came again, his room would look as untouched as the first time he entered. As he was walking towards the door, he wondered if he should stop by and see how Adam was doing. After thinking about the state that he was in, Erik opted against it. There would be time enough for catching up later.
