No love for the chat-room eh? Not much of an AIM guy, since I have too many people there who immediately PM me when I get one. Hmmm

It's new. It's the little button--It's blue, I think?--At the very bottom of the home page. It doesn't really work for me but I love the idea.

Maybe we should have a little thread to say, like, "hey, I'm going into chat now, you guys come with me" or something. I didn't even know the button was there, and I know it wouldn't just occur to me to join for no reason.

Is there a password or something? It always asks me for a password.

All I had to enter was a username for the board.

It asks me for a usename then a box pops up and it's black text on black so I can't read whatever it's telling me, and the buttons are 'ok' 'cancel' and 'enter without password' but when I enter w/o pw no one's there

That's odd... it only asks me for a username too. Try highlighting the text on the black box to see what it says? ... Weird.

So I tried to use the nick 'Angel' and it did the same thing as what it does to you, Katie. But then I tried again and used the nick 'Nightingale' and had no issues. Strange stuff. See if any other nick will let you come on.

Some people on that chat have already password-protected their signin names (for instance, Angel, or Rebecca). Unless you are that person you wont be able to use them. Just pick a different name to sign in under and you should be fine.

Oh, right, of course. Most of the sites I hang out at with chat programs of their own use PHP chat, which lets you register a name to that particular site, not across the whole chat program. Didn't look like we could register on this one...?

You can, but I don't know how I'm giving the chat some love during lunch, ie. for the next half hour or so.
